As a Dao ethnic person, Ms. Ly Thi Quyen, Director of Thien An Cooperative, Vi Huong Commune (Bach Thong) always worries about how to keep the cultural values of her ethnic group from being lost over time. She has mobilized villagers to develop products with strong local cultural imprints such as: folk remedies, brocade products. To expand the scale, increase productivity and output, Thien An Cooperative invests, applies science and technology, improves designs to make products more friendly to modern consumers while still preserving traditional identity.
Currently, Thien An Cooperative has 08 products recognized as OCOP, typically: Thien An brocade bags, Thien An brocade tablecloths, Thien An brocade tea coasters... creating a stable source of income for people and contributing to spreading cultural values to the community.

Ms. Ly Thi Quyen, Director of Thien An Cooperative, shared: We consider culture as the soul of the product. Therefore, the Cooperative wishes to preserve and develop the traditional cultural values of the Dao people. Each product is a part of the memory, a part of the soul of the Dao people that we preserve. In recent years, the products imbued with the Dao ethnic culture of the Cooperative have been favored by the market. In order to create more jobs for local people, through the support of many resources, the Cooperative has participated in teaching and consuming products.

Inheriting the local traditional craft, Tai Hoan Cooperative, Con Minh Commune (Na Ri) has invested in machinery to produce traditional vermicelli products, serving domestic customers and exporting. In 2021, the cooperative's vermicelli products were recognized as 5-star OCOP products, further affirming the brand and opening up many consumption markets. Currently, the cooperative has built a raw material area of more than 70 hectares in Na Ri district and purchased more in some districts such as Pac Nam and Ba Be. To meet the increasing demand, the cooperative invested in a 6,000m² factory with a modern production line system. After going into operation, the factory can produce about 500 tons of vermicelli/year, consuming input materials for more than 1,000 households. The cooperative creates regular jobs for about 20 local workers.
Tai Hoan Cooperative's cellophane noodles are consumed domestically and internationally.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoan, Director of Tai Hoan Cooperative, shared: Determining the mission of the Cooperative is to preserve and promote traditional crafts, although applying advanced technology to diversify products, the way of using raw materials and production steps is still maintained by the Cooperative in the traditional way, using 100% pure arrowroot starch grown locally. Thanks to inheriting the profession of their ancestors, the next generation has a job to do, has an income to ensure their lives.

Bac Kan is a locality with many ethnic groups living together. Each ethnic group has its own cultural identity. Therefore, localities in the province have focused on developing specialty products, advantages, craft products, traditional craft villages associated with exploiting local raw materials, culture, indigenous knowledge and associated with tourism products. The whole province currently has 245 OCOP certified products from 3 stars to 5 stars. Each OCOP product integrates many values: From clean local materials, traditional production processes, to cultural factors, product stories and unique processing methods. Thanks to that, it creates a unique identity for each product, increases brand recognition, competitiveness in the market and contains and preserves profound human values.
Ms. Vi Thi Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in charge of the OCOP Program of Bac Kan province, said: To continue to promote the effectiveness of the OCOP Program associated with preserving cultural values, Bac Kan province has been implementing many policies to support the development of specialty products, traditional craft villages associated with community tourism; promoting training, coaching production skills, designing improved packaging, labels, promoting brands so that OCOP products are "cultural ambassadors" of the locality. In addition, combining OCOP products with the development of eco-tourism and community tourism is opening up a new direction for promoting local culture. Visitors to Bac Kan not only enjoy local products but also have the opportunity to experience the production process, learn about ethnic culture, contributing to promoting the consumption of agricultural products, OCOP of the province associated with sustainable tourism.
Preserving and promoting cultural values in OCOP products not only has the meaning of preserving national heritage, helping to increase people's income but also contributes to "retaining" young people to stay in rural and mountainous areas to start a business./.
