Consideration of recognition of 11 traditional occupations

The Council for the Recognition of Traditional Professions (hereinafter referred to as the Council) has just organized a field inspection and a meeting to review and recognize traditional professions in 2025.

This time, 11 craft villages were recognized by the Council as traditional crafts, including: Long Binh rice paper production, Xi Thoai brocade weaving and Xuan Phuoc peanut oil production (Dong Xuan district); Tuyet Diem salt, Ganh Do fish sauce production and Hoa An fish sauce production (Song Cau town); Phu Tan sedge mat weaving; seafood processing, My Quang fish sauce production and corn vermicelli making (Tuy An district); Truong Thinh pottery (Dong Hoa town); My Thanh Tay mulberry growing and silkworm raising (Tay Hoa district).

According to the assessment results, all 11 craft villages above meet the criteria for recognition of traditional crafts: the craft has appeared in the locality for over 50 years and is currently continuing to develop up to the time of the request for recognition; the craft creates products with cultural and national identity; the craft is associated with the name of one or more artisans or the name of the craft village. After the delegates participated in giving their opinions, the Council voted to evaluate and unanimously proposed the Provincial People's Committee to consider and issue a decision to recognize traditional crafts in 2025.
