Promoting the role of the press to promote Ninh Binh urban heritage to the world

On May 30, the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province coordinated with the Communist Magazine to organize a seminar "Promoting the tradition of 100 years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day - Ninh Binh Press for millennium goals."

In his opening speech, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc said that in line with the flow of revolutionary journalism nationwide, Ninh Binh's press also has a proud tradition.

In December 1961, the first press agency of the province was established under the name Ninh Binh Construction Newspaper. After 64 years of establishment and development, up to now, the province has 2 press agencies including Ninh Binh Newspaper and Radio-Television Station, Ninh Binh Literature and Arts Magazine, including a variety of types of printed newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio, television, social network channels... continuing to affirm: "The press is truly the mouthpiece of the Party, State, social organizations and a forum for the people."

The seminar is an opportunity to look back at the glorious tradition of the country's press throughout a century of construction, development and growth. This is also an opportunity to affirm the role and mission of the Vietnamese revolutionary press in general, and the Ninh Binh press in particular, in realizing the millennium goals, especially in the work of promoting and protecting urban heritage, contributing to the whole country's development aspirations.

At the seminar, delegates focused their discussions on the following issues: clarifying the importance and role of the press in promoting and protecting urban heritage in general and the Ninh Binh urban heritage system in particular; identifying and analyzing the difficulties and shortcomings that have been and are being faced by the press in promoting and promoting the role of the press in developing and preserving urban heritage.

Ninh Binh press in particular and Vietnamese press in general need to have breakthrough solutions to promote Ninh Binh urban heritage to the world , further raise public awareness in preserving and promoting urban heritage values; build an effective long-term communication strategy with long-term spillover effects, contributing to realizing the millennium goals of Ninh Binh province.

At the seminar, Deputy General Director of Vietnam News Agency Nguyen Thi Su said that the press plays an important role in providing information about heritage, including urban heritage.

As the country's main foreign press agency, Vietnam News Agency focuses on promoting and introducing to international friends the tourism potential, especially the urban heritage value of Ninh Binh.

From the perspective of the press agency on the issue of heritage urban areas, Deputy General Director of Vietnam News Agency Nguyen Thi Su said that Ninh Binh province should promote information and propaganda work on mass media about the value of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex associated with sustainable tourism development and heritage urban areas.

At the same time, Ninh Binh organizes press awards on heritage conservation in general and urban heritage in particular, contributing to information and propaganda so that domestic and foreign readers can better understand the development of Trang An cultural heritage urban area in the context that the locality is entering a period of strong development with the combination of heritage-technology-innovation and sustainable development.

According to Dr. Nguyen Tri Thuc, Director of the Center for Topics and Communication-Publication, Communist Magazine, in recent times, Ninh Binh has worked hard to research and set out the determination to strive to build the province into a Millennium Heritage City. The communication of the Hoa Lu Millennium Heritage City brand needs to focus on highlighting the position and value of the ancient capital Hoa Lu in modern society; the cultural heritages with the character, lifestyle, and dignity of the people of the ancient capital, especially the hidden factors and values ​​that have not been aroused and promoted...

Ninh Binh continues to further promote the application of digital technology in management, communication, and promotion of heritage values; review and supplement the development planning to harmonize heritage conservation and promotion; promote the role of local communities in heritage conservation and promotion; research and develop human resources and long-term, layered communication strategies, and build in-depth news stories instead of short-term news.

At the same time, the province continues to strengthen cooperation and close links between press agencies, local authorities, researchers, businesses and the community to ensure complete, accurate and multi-dimensional information.

The construction of heritage cities needs to be promoted in central and local press agencies, even internationally, to convey strong and impressive messages about the ancient capital of Hoa Lu; through the press to build brands, including heritage urban brands./.
