Congress of the Association for Protection and Promotion of Heritage "Practicing the worship of the Mother Goddesses of the Three Realms of the Vietnamese" in Ninh Binh province

The leaders of the Department of Home Affairs presented the Decision to establish the Association for the Protection and Promotion of the Heritage of "Practicing the worship of the Mother Goddesses of the Three Realms of the Vietnamese" in Ninh Binh province.

Attending the Congress were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Department of Home Affairs, Department of Culture and Sports , and Department of Tourism.

The old Nam Dinh province (now Ninh Binh province) is a center of the worship of the Mother Goddesses of the Three Palaces and Four Palaces of the Vietnamese people. In 2012 and 2013, the Chau Van ritual of the Vietnamese people in Nam Dinh (old) and the Phu Day Festival were included in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In 2016, UNESCO listed "The practice of the worship of the Mother Goddesses of the Three Palaces of the Vietnamese people" in the List of Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Implementing the National Action Program announced by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism at the UNESCO Certificate Reception Ceremony and following the wishes of the majority of the community - the subjects of the cultural heritage of the Mother Goddess worship to join hands to protect and promote the value of the heritage, in 2020, the Association for the Protection and Promotion of the Heritage "The practice of the worship of the Mother Goddesses of the Three Palaces of the Vietnamese people" in Nam Dinh province was established. As of December 2024, the Association for the Protection and Promotion of the Heritage of "Practicing the Mother Goddess Worship of the Vietnamese" in Nam Dinh province has 450 members. Among them are many artisans who are knowledgeable about the heritage, have prestige in the community, and play a role in systematically teaching the heritage. During the past term, the Association had 6 artisans awarded noble titles by the President, including 1 People's Artisan and 5 Meritorious Artisans.

On September 4, 2025, the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province issued Decision No. 605/QD-UBND allowing the renaming of the Association for the Protection and Promotion of the Heritage of "Practicing the Mother Goddess Worship of the Vietnamese" in Nam Dinh province to the Association for the Protection and Promotion of the Heritage of "Practicing the Mother Goddess Worship of the Vietnamese" in Ninh Binh province. Currently, the Association's headquarters is located at the historical, cultural and architectural relic of Phu Chinh Palace in the Phu Day complex, Tien Huong village, Vu Ban commune.

In the 2025-2030 term, the Association for the Protection and Promotion of the Heritage of "Practicing the Mother Goddess Worship of the Vietnamese" in Ninh Binh province has set out the following directions and tasks: Completing the organization, building and promulgating the Association's operating regulations. Focusing on propagating the Association's principles and purposes, focusing on developing members. Establishing grassroots organizations under the Association. Organizing and coordinating with agencies and units to organize seminars, scientific discussions, displays, exhibitions, and exchanges, contributing to clarifying the value of heritage and exchanging experiences to strengthen the protection and promotion of the value of cultural heritage in general, and the heritage of "Practicing the Mother Goddess Worship of the Vietnamese" in particular. Supporting members in practicing and transmitting heritage in accordance with traditional rituals and legal regulations; fighting and criticizing acts that distort, distort, and falsify the good nature of heritage. Promote socialization work, create resources to ensure the activities of the Association.

Launching the Executive Board of the Association for Protection and Promotion of the Heritage of "Practicing the Mother Goddess Worship of the Vietnamese People" in Ninh Binh province, term 2025 - 2030.

The Congress approved the Personnel Plan, elected the Executive Committee of the Association for the Protection and Promotion of the Heritage of "Practicing the Mother Goddess Worship of the Vietnamese People" in Ninh Binh province for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 16 people, the Standing Committee of the Association consisting of 6 people; elected the Association's leadership positions, including: 1 President, Meritorious Artisan Tran Thi Hue, and 4 Vice Presidents.
