
The teaching class organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province is a practical activity to raise responsibility for preserving and promoting the value of Phu Tho Xoan singing heritage, which has been recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The training course was attended by 45 trainees who are officers, artists, and actors from Lac Hong Theater, Center for Culture, Information and Cinema, Phu Tho Provincial Museum, Center for Tourism Promotion Information and Phu Tho Provincial Library.
The students were directly taught by People's Artist Nguyen Thi Lich - head of An Thai Xoan guild, Meritorious Artists of the original Xoan guilds and experienced teaching assistants in researching and teaching Xoan singing from the Center for Culture, Information - Cinema, Phu Tho Provincial Museum .
At the training class, students were taught and disseminated knowledge about the history and cultural values of Xoan singing; skills in performing singing, dancing, and drumming; skills in practicing ancient Xoan songs in 3 stages: Hat Tho, Hat Qua Cach, Hat Hoi (inviting the king, Giao Phao, Bo Bo, Trang Mai Cach and Mo Ca); methods of combining traditional practice with modern promotion and communication requirements; skills in creating artistic products for tourism, festivals and cultural exchange activities.
Through the training course, trainees will perfect their skills, enhance their deep understanding of heritage, thereby becoming the core force in performing, introducing and promoting Xoan singing at festivals, cultural events, tourism activities, and exchange programs at home and abroad.
This is also an opportunity for artisans, lecturers and students to exchange experiences, contributing to connecting the young generation with heritage, creating a sustainable teaching environment in the community.
At the end of the training course, students will report their results through performing Xoan singing and will be awarded a certificate of participation.
