Quang Ninh: Promoting the cultural identity of highland people

The People's Committee of Dong Ngu commune ( Quang Ninh ) will organize the Golden Season Festival of Soong Co region in 2025 from November 1-2.

This is considered an important highlight in the locality's 2025 tourism development plan.

The 2025 festival will welcome visitors to check-in to see the golden terraced fields, listen to the charming Soong Co melody, enjoy the reenactments of the beliefs and customs of the San Chi and Dao people; participate in ethnic sports competitions such as spinning tops, tug of war, and stick pushing; cheer for the San Chi women's football friendly match, experience community tourism with brick houses, watch the San Chay people's Tac Xinh dance, compete in culinary dishes, and decorate straw scarecrows...

Within the framework of the festival, there will also be special cultural and artistic activities at San Chi Cultural Center (Khe Luc village, Dong Ngu commune) and tourist and cultural sites in Dong Ngu commune.

With a harmonious combination of tradition and contemporary, the 2025 Golden Season Festival of the Soong Co region contributes to continuing to preserve and promote, introduce and promote the cultural identity of the San Chi people; creating a beautiful impression for tourists about the image of the golden season in the highlands, tourist attractions of Dong Ngu commune, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, motivating people to raise awareness of preserving cultural identity associated with tourism development.

This is also an activity that contributes to the development of a culture rich in local identity, taking cultural values and people as the foundation and endogenous strength to ensure sustainable development.

It is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2025, Quang Ninh will organize about 30 large events, festivals and stimulus programs with the participation of many famous artists. Notable large-scale cultural, sports and tourism events include: Luc Hon Golden Season Festival 2025 (October 25 in Luc Hon commune), Quang Ninh OCOP Autumn-Winter Fair 2025 (from October 28 to November 3, Ha Long ward), Quang Ninh Culinary Festival (October 30 to November 2, Bai Chay ward), Exhibition of socio-economic development achievements of Quang Ninh province in 2020-2025 (November 10-20, Ha Long ward), Quang Ninh Ethnic Culture and Sports Festival (November 14-16, Ha Long ward) and a series of dragon boat racing festivals with the theme "Bay of Dragons Overcoming Waves", ethnic festivals "Bay of Dragons Convergence", "Bay of Dragons Shining", Grand Slam Halong Bay with Korea program, Ha Long Bay Heritage International Marathon, etc.

Quang Ninh is stepping up promotion, advertising and digital communication; opening the Dong Trung-Hoanh Mo border gate tourist route; expanding charter flights (chartering entire aircraft according to a separate schedule) to welcome Chinese and Korean visitors via Van Don International Airport; developing preferential tourism-service-accommodation combo packages.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, Quang Ninh province strives to attract 4.09 million visitors, including 1.25 million international visitors and 2.84 million domestic visitors, with total expected revenue of VND 12,760 billion, up 28% over the same period to complete the annual target of welcoming 21.2 million visitors and total revenue of VND 57,000 billion./.
