Dong Van Stone Plateau receives 'World's Leading Regional Destination' award

Not only loved by domestic and foreign tourists, Dong Van Stone Plateau continues to be listed on the international tourism map with the award 'World's Leading Regional Cultural Destination'.

Recently, Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark was honored by the World Travel Awards (WTA) as "World's Leading Cultural Destination 2025".

This is also the first time Tuyen Quang has had a destination honored by WTA in the world-class cultural award category, after merging with Ha Giang .

Affirming the beauty and attraction of the rocky plateau

According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Ngoc - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tuyen Quang, the fact that the Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark was honored as "The World's Leading Cultural Destination in 2025" created a big push to affirm its position as "The World's Leading Cultural Destination" on the international tourism map.

"The international title is not only an honor but also a responsibility. This is the driving force for localities to innovate more strongly, towards high standards of sustainable, civilized tourism and deep integration with the world," Mr. Ngoc shared.

Recognized by UNESCO since 2010, Dong Van Stone Plateau possesses outstanding global values ​​from three pillars: geology, culture and community life.

Not only is it notable for its landscape value with its unique karst system, paleontological sites, caves, and majestic mountain passes, it is also home to and has preserved the culture of 17 ethnic groups for generations.

Promote international cooperation in human resource training, planning and promotion; strengthen regional connectivity to form attractive inter-provincial tourism routes.

Tuyen Quang also focuses on digital transformation: building a destination database, digitizing tourist guides and maps, and applying technology in promotion.
