Tay Ninh proposes the Government to support many important traffic routes
In 2025, the province has set 14 main targets in various fields and it is expected that by the end of the year all targets will be achieved and exceeded the plan. The economic growth rate (GRDP) in 2025 is estimated to increase by 9.52%, ranking second in the Southern region and 8th in the country.
In 2026, Tay Ninh set out 21 targets in various fields, focusing on drastic and synchronous implementation of solutions to increase growth rate, ensuring the completion of the GRDP growth target of 10 - 10.5%.
At the same time, focus on effectively implementing the provincial planning, speeding up the progress of public investment projects, especially key national traffic projects passing through the province. Strive to disburse 100% of the capital plan in 2026, total budget revenue in 2026 increases by 10% compared to 2025...
At the working session, Tay Ninh province proposed that the Prime Minister and central ministries and branches continue to pay attention to and remove some difficulties and obstacles of the province.
It is recommended to promptly review and comment on the pilot project of a number of mechanisms and policies applicable to Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone in order to create a flexible and suitable legal corridor to attract strategic investors with financial capacity and commitment to long-term development in Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone, associated with the socio-economic development goals of the province.

In addition, consider removing obstacles at the Long An LNG Power Plant project, providing some special mechanisms so that the project can soon come into operation.
In 2026, Tay Ninh proposed that the Central Government allocate about 1,500 billion VND for the province to invest in projects in urgent areas with high risk of landslides and unsafe conditions. The province also proposed that the Government consider and agree in principle to let Tay Ninh preside over the project to upgrade the special national historical site of the Southern Central Bureau Base...
Regarding traffic infrastructure, Tay Ninh proposed considering and allocating investment capital from the central budget to repair and ensure traffic safety of damaged sections, and investing in a closed border patrol route.
At the same time, it is recommended that the Prime Minister consider directing the acceleration of investment progress, upgrading the Duc Hoa - My An expressway project, soon start the investment in expanding National Highway 62, support the province with about 2,500 billion VND to invest in the Long An - Tan Ninh connecting axis, approve an additional 2,500 billion VND to invest in the construction of the Go Dau - Xa Mat expressway (phase 1), support capital for the province to establish a project on the route connecting Tan Nam international border gate with National Highway 22B, support about 300 billion VND to invest in expanding Tan Nam bridge.
The "straightest, shortest" Long An - Tan Ninh connecting axis could become the central axis of the province.
In his concluding remarks, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that Tay Ninh has "heavenly time, favorable terrain, and favorable people". Because the province has a position and advantages that few other localities have, it is an important gateway of Vietnam to the Southeast Asia region, connecting the trans-Asian economic corridor, and has a strategic position connecting two very important regions, the Mekong Delta and the Southeast, connecting with Ho Chi Minh City. Tay Ninh people have a tradition of revolution and diligence.
The Prime Minister acknowledged, commended the efforts and congratulated the results the province had achieved, making an important contribution to the overall achievements of the whole country.
However, the province still has some shortcomings and limitations such as strategic infrastructure is still inadequate compared to development requirements, agricultural product consumption is still difficult, site clearance is still problematic, high-quality human resources are still lacking, application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation have not met requirements...
In the coming time, the Prime Minister requested the province to resolutely and synchronously implement solutions to achieve GRDP of 10 - 10.5% in 2026 and the following years.

Regarding proposals related to transport infrastructure projects, the Prime Minister asked the province to review and make full use of mechanisms and policies in resource mobilization and public-private partnership for implementation. At the same time, balance local resources and propose the Central Government to support resources, decentralize to Tay Ninh province to be the investor, and implement projects in order of priority.
"I suggest two priority routes. The first is the route connecting the two provincial centers, which should be calculated to be as straight as possible and as short as possible so that this route can become the central axis. The second priority is the routes to the border gates, specifically the route to Tan Nam border gate, which needs to be built quickly," said the Prime Minister.
Regarding the Long An LNG Thermal Power Plant project, the Prime Minister assigned Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son to meet with relevant parties to resolve the issue in the spirit of compliance with regulations, harmonious benefits, shared risks, healthy and fair competition, and to complete it in December 2025.
