Hoa Binh Construction Group Joint Stock Company (the contractor) has just reported to the Department of Construction of Da Nang, the People's Committee of the ward... the cause and results of the settlement of the subsidence incident on Nguyen Cong Tru Street (An Hai Ward, Da Nang) - the "death hole" that Tuoi Tre Online reported.

According to the company, at around 2:00 p.m. on December 3, due to prolonged heavy rain, a lot of rainwater accumulated, causing water and sand from the sewer to overflow into the construction area of ​​the project.

As a result, a section of Nguyen Cong Tru Street - the area adjacent to the project (traffic light location) - collapsed nearly half, stretching 15m, creating a deep sinkhole. Two cars fell into the hole, fortunately there were no casualties.

After the incident, the investor and contractor stopped construction; mobilized maximum manpower, machinery, equipment, assigned tasks for quick handling, deployed rescue work, lifted the car out of the sinkhole and quickly proceeded to fix it. By the evening of December 6, it was basically completed.

By 4:00 p.m. on December 8, the work of troubleshooting and restoring the drainage system, roadbed, and road surface had been completed, and Nguyen Cong Tru Street was reopened to traffic.

Sidewalk tiling and cleaning are underway and will be completed within the day.

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , not only the "death hole" area but also a section of Ngo Quyen Street (near the fence of the Capital Square 3 project) has many long, crisscrossing cracks. Authorities have blocked off this section of the road.

Some residents near the project reported that their houses were cracked, making them very worried.

According to the Department of Construction of Da Nang City, the investor of the Capital Square 3 urban area project is SIH Real Estate Company Limited. Currently, the underground construction is underway.
