Turn the Autumn Fair into a true "destination" for trade - a "meeting place" for cultural and artistic exchange - a "convergence point" for connection and vivid experiences

On the evening of October 25, at the National Exhibition Fair Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi), the first Autumn Fair - 2025 officially opened with the theme "Connecting people with production and business". Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the opening ceremony.

Also attending the event were comrade Phan Dinh Trac, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Internal Affairs Commission; comrade Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Standing member of the Party's 14th National Congress Documents Subcommittee; comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh , Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister; General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

Party Central Committee members: Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Vu Hong Thanh, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the first Autumn Fair - 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his joy at attending the event in the thousand-year-old capital Hanoi, "City for Peace", Capital of conscience and human dignity, in the beautiful, tranquil atmosphere of "Hanoi Autumn", the entire Party, people and army are striving to compete to "accelerate and break through" to successfully implement the socio- economic development goals and tasks in 2025 and the entire 2021-2025 term, towards welcoming the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The Prime Minister stated that this is a very important economic and cultural event, not only on a national scale, but also reaching an international level, honoring typical products and brands with Vietnamese identity and intelligence; contributing to stimulating domestic consumption, spreading the spirit of "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", promoting trade, investment, international integration and achieving an economic growth rate of over 8% in 2025 and double digits in the following years.

The first Autumn Fair - 2025 will be held at the Vietnam Exhibition Center - a modern, unique building, a new symbol of the capital Hanoi - a place to gather, light up and spread the spirit of innovation, cooperation and development.

This event follows the brilliant success of the National Achievement Exhibition "80 Years of Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness", which promotes pride, spreads patriotism, self-reliance and aspiration to rise strongly of the Vietnamese people.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated the Fair, which was held for the first time, with a short preparation time, a large amount of work, high requirements, large area, and the coordination and participation of many agencies and units; but it achieved "6 bests": (1) Largest scale; (2) Most modern space; (3) Most diverse products; (4) Highest quality; (5) Most attractive activities; (6) Best incentive policies.

According to the Prime Minister, the Fair is a vivid and convincing demonstration of the country's integration mindset, outstanding capacity, breakthrough aspiration, and contemporary stature; at the same time, it is a crystallized symbol of the spirit of solidarity, creativity, high determination, great effort, drastic action, "only discuss, not retreat" of the Government, ministries, branches, localities, business community, entrepreneurs and people of Vietnam.

Not only stopping at record numbers, the Fair is also a favorable opportunity for trade, investment, tourism promotion and promotion of culture, image of the country and people of Vietnam to be combined harmoniously and effectively; a place where domestic and foreign resources are connected - investment cooperation is expanded - trade is promoted - consumption is stimulated; a place not only to experience shopping for high-quality Vietnamese goods but also to enjoy the rich, creative and unique cuisine, culture and art of Vietnam and goods of international friends.

The fair is also an important bridge for Vietnamese enterprises to strengthen international economic integration, exchange experiences and receive technology transfer, especially in digital transformation, green economy, circular economy, sharing economy, knowledge economy, contributing to realizing two 100-year strategic goals - for a peaceful, prosperous, prosperous, civilized and happy Vietnam.

The Prime Minister stated that, with its strategic geographical location and the aspiration to take the country to new heights, through this Fair, we will gradually realize the goal of building Vietnam into a leading exhibition center in Asia, a destination for international trade fairs; to "develop cultural industry and creative economy to become a new pillar of growth", as General Secretary To Lam emphasized.

On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the Ministry of Industry and Trade, ministries, branches, localities, businesses, people and international friends for their joint efforts, consensus, efforts and active participation in organizing the Fair.

The Prime Minister also said that in recent days, some provinces in the Central and Northern regions of our country have been severely affected by storms, flash floods, and landslides, causing great damage to people and property; on behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Prime Minister sent his deep condolences and warm regards to the people and soldiers in the areas affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods; and at the same time expressed his admiration for the spirit of solidarity, resilience, and overcoming difficulties of the people and comrades.

The Prime Minister requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front and called on the business community, compatriots and soldiers nationwide to continue to join hands in donating and supporting people in flood-hit areas, with the noble gesture of "national love, compatriots' love", "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves". This sharing is the cultivation of humanity, spreading good values, promoting social responsibility and the good nature of our regime and our people.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Prime Minister respectfully thanks the attention and contributions of domestic and foreign organizations and individuals to the work of preventing and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, storms and floods, contributing to easing losses, creating motivation and confidence to help people soon stabilize their lives and restore production and business.

In order for the Fair to truly become a "destination" for trade - a "meeting place" for cultural and artistic exchange - a "convergence point" for connection and vivid experiences with the people and international friends, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade to carefully prepare all necessary conditions, ensuring the Fair takes place successfully, moving towards organizing a series of annual four-season fairs "Spring - Summer - Autumn - Winter" and an annual autumn international fair.

Ministries, branches, agencies, units and localities actively and proactively promote and introduce typical and unique products, especially OCOP products; organize investment, tourism and trade promotion programs, and bring Vietnamese brands to the world market.

The Hanoi City People's Committee has done a good job of ensuring security and order, fire prevention, traffic safety and supporting people attending the Fair.

Associations, corporations, and businesses continue to promote and introduce products; diversify markets - diversify products - diversify supply chains; proactively seek partners, access new technologies, new markets; and participate deeply in regional and global production networks and supply chains.

The Prime Minister asked international organizations to strengthen cooperation, introduce the Fair to many friends around the world; promote cultural exchanges; support and connect with Vietnamese partners and businesses, especially connecting science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, green transformation...

Press and media agencies focused on reporting on the Fair, spreading the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship, arousing national pride and self-respect, and promoting the image of Vietnam to the international community.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the first Autumn Fair - 2025 not only opens a new connection space between businesses and consumers, between Vietnam and the world, between people and production and business; but more importantly, it is a place "where creativity originates - intelligence shines - exchange, learn - affirm courage - spread pride" and the spirit of "Constructive State - Pioneering Enterprises - Public and Private Partnership - Rich Country - Happy People".

The Prime Minister hopes and believes that the success of today's Fair will add confidence, arouse aspirations, and foster determination to help the country rise strongly, conquer new heights, and affirm the position and stature of the Vietnamese people in the international arena.
