Overview of Mount Sam National Tourist Area
Located in An Giang province, the Mount Sam National Tourist Area is one of the most important spiritual and cultural centers in the Mekong Delta, attracting millions of pilgrims and tourists every year. It is a diverse complex of historical sites and was recognized as a national-level tourist area in 2018.
The main attractions in the tourist area include five famous historical sites: the Lady of Sam Mountain Temple, the Thoai Ngoc Hau Mausoleum, Tay An Pagoda, Hang Pagoda, and Chau Phu Communal House. Among them, the Lady of Sam Mountain Temple is considered a sacred temple with a significant influence on the religious life of the people of Southern Vietnam.

New ticketing system: More convenient and transparent.
To address previous shortcomings and enhance the visitor experience, the Management Board of the Mount Sam National Tourist Area has officially implemented a plan to rearrange ticket sales and inspection points. This change aims to ensure efficiency , accurate and complete fee collection, and minimize the impact on local residents and tourists.
New locations for ticket sales and inspection points.
According to the new plan, scheduled for implementation in the fourth quarter, the ticketing system will be reorganized in a more efficient manner. Visitors should note the following locations:
- Ticket counters: There will be 3 official ticket sales points located in convenient locations:
- The Management Board's passenger transfer point is located in the Vinh Dong Commercial Center.
- The old sculpture area on Tan Lo Kieu Luong Street, near the water supply station.
- At the end of the pedestrian street, in front of Vinh Te Temple.
- Ticket checkpoints: Entrance tickets will be checked at 3 main gates:
- At the beginning of the pedestrian street, in front of Tay An Pagoda.
- At the end of the pedestrian street, in front of Vinh Te Temple.
- The back entrance to the Lady's Temple is on Chau Thi Te Street (30 meters from the main gate).

Diverse payment methods
One of the most notable improvements is the shift from manual to electronic ticketing. Visitors will have more modern and convenient payment options:
- Buy tickets online.
- Payment via QR code at hotels and guesthouses.
- Buy tickets directly at the ticket counters.
Note during peak season
During peak season, especially in the first and second months of the lunar calendar each year, the Management Board will set up an additional 2-3 mobile ticket sales points on Tan Lo Kieu Luong and Le Dai Cuong streets to alleviate congestion and help visitors purchase tickets more quickly.
Remove the old toll booths.
To facilitate smooth traffic flow and ensure safety, the three existing toll collection points will be removed. This change addresses the long-standing issue of many people having to pay tolls when passing through the area even when they don't need to enter the temple.

Security and public order have been strengthened.
The Management Board stated that it will continue to coordinate with local authorities to strengthen inspections and address the issue of street vendors encroaching on sidewalks and roads, as well as touts and harassers, in order to ensure a civilized and safe tourism environment for all visitors.
