Prepare a scientific dossier "Folk knowledge of growing and processing longan in Hung Yen" to submit to UNESCO for inclusion in the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity

The Government Office issued Document No. 10238/VPCP-KGVX dated October 22, 2025 to the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hung Yen province on the preparation of a scientific dossier "Folk knowledge of growing and processing Hung Yen longan" to submit to UNESCO for inclusion in the List of Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Accordingly, considering the proposal of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Submission No. 416/TTr-BVHTTDL dated September 29, 2025 on establishing a scientific dossier on the intangible cultural heritage "Folk knowledge of growing and processing Hung Yen longan" to submit to UNESCO for consideration of inclusion in the List of representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh has the following comments:

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism guides the People's Committee of Hung Yen province to establish a scientific dossier on the intangible cultural heritage "Folk knowledge of growing and processing Hung Yen longan" according to the provisions of the Law on Cultural Heritage No. 45/2024/QH15 and guiding documents to honor, protect and promote the value of intangible cultural heritage.
