The first International Tea Festival was held in Hue.

The Hue International Tea Festival 2025 is an international cultural and tourism event, the first of its kind to be held in Hue City, aiming to celebrate Vietnamese tea culture.

Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Khac Toan and Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh visited the exhibition space at the Hue International Tea Festival 2025.

On the morning of December 11th, the opening ceremony of the Hue International Tea Festival 2025 took place at Truong Sanh Palace (Hue Imperial Citadel). The event was directed by the Hue City People's Committee, organized by the City's Department of Tourism in coordination with the Hue Imperial Citadel Conservation Center and other relevant units, with the support of the Vietnam Tea Association (VITAS) and the ASEAN Tea Association (ATO).

This morning's opening ceremony featured a spectacular artistic program with a stage designed like a tea garden amidst the heritage site, blending nature, culture, and art in the ancient setting of the Imperial Palace, marking the beginning of a festival full of highlights, novelty, and allure.

The Hue International Tea Festival 2025 is an international cultural and tourism event, the first of its kind to be held in Hue City, aiming to honor Vietnamese tea culture, foster dialogue between domestic and international artisans, and revitalize the tea industry through traditional and innovative products.

Simultaneously, it creates a cultural and wellness tourism space with a strong Vietnamese identity, contributing to the development of new tourism products (wellness tourism) and expanding the influence of Hue tourism to a wider audience.

Visitors come to enjoy the finest Vietnamese tea.

The Hue International Tea Festival 2025 took place over three days, from December 10th to 12th, with many major and outstanding programs such as: the opening ceremony and panel discussion "Tea in the Flow of Culture and Creativity"; a tea exhibition showcasing a diverse range of products from traditional to modern, including sparkling tea, tea cocktails, cosmetics extracted from tea, and accompanying dishes; and the "Teatender - Modern Tea Brewing" competition promoting Truoi tea as a new specialty of contemporary Vietnamese tea.

Alongside this, there will be tea art performances and exchange activities between participating units; a tea-nourishing program with the theme "Drinking Tea - A Journey of Reconnection"; a reenactment of the "Imperial Tea Ceremony" as a vivid glimpse into the solemn atmosphere of the capital; the closing ceremony and the "Moon Dance Tea Flower" art program, along with many other accompanying activities.

At the Hue International Tea Festival 2025, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the essence and art of tea ceremony from many countries, along with many exciting activities organized by famous tea brands.

Ms. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, Director of the Hue City Department of Tourism, said that the first International Tea Festival held in Hue City promises to be an important starting point, creating a foundation for the formation of an annual event with cultural, artistic, and tourism depth, contributing to enriching the identity and increasing the attractiveness of Hue as a destination in the international tourism landscape.
