Key activities include the Hmong Flute Festival, the Tớ Dày Flower Festival, street parades, art programs, the Hmong Flute Competition, the Rice Cake Pounding Festival, spinning top performances, and many other folk games. Exhibitions, introductions, and sales of OCOP products, characteristic agricultural products, products made from hawthorn, and a space recreating traditional culture will be held from December 31, 2025 to January 20, 2026.

The opening ceremony of the Hmong Flute Festival and the Tớ Dày Flower Festival is scheduled to take place at 8 PM on January 10, 2026, at the central stadium of the commune.
In particular, on the evening of December 31, 2025, an art program celebrating the Lunar New Year 2026 (Year of the Horse) will take place in the commune's courtyard with the theme "The Sound of the Flute Calling for Spring".

Traditional mouth organists in villages and communes are actively practicing and perfecting their ensemble, solo, and dance performances; young people are being mobilized to participate in exchanges aimed at preserving and passing on traditional performance skills.
This year, the Hmong Flute Festival is expected to include performances of traditional costumes, bamboo pole dancing, and cultural exchanges between different ethnic groups.

Simultaneously, preparations for the Tớ Dày Flower Festival – a symbol of spring in the highlands – are being carried out in a coordinated manner. Roads leading to the commune center are decorated with vibrant flags and flowers; locals are encouraged to preserve the landscape, protect the wildflowers, and assist tourists in taking photos and experiencing the scenery. Stalls showcasing OCOP products, handicrafts, and traditional cuisine are arranged to create attractive highlights for visitors.

To ensure the festival's safety, Mu Cang Chai commune has developed a plan to ensure security and order, regulate traffic, and prevent fires. The commune's health station has prepared personnel and supplies for first aid. The youth union has formed a volunteer force to assist tourists, guide them on tours, and promote environmental protection.
Communication efforts were intensified through public address systems, electronic portals, and tourism fanpages, creating a widespread impact. Villagers proactively renovated their homes, cleaned village roads, and prepared characteristic products for the festival.

With thorough and coordinated preparation from the government and people, the Mong Flute Festival, the Tớ Dày Flower Festival, and other activities celebrating the Spring of 2026 promise to bring a culturally rich space, creating a highlight to attract tourists and contributing to the promotion of tourism, economy, and society development in Mù Cang Chải in the new spring season.
