Mr. Truong Quy Man, Deputy Director of the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum, said that the Can Vuong movement is a content that has been included in history textbooks at secondary school level. However, the lessons in textbooks are often brief, only aiming to equip knowledge, so sometimes students are not very interested.

After the fall of the capital (1885), King Ham Nghi, along with Ton That Thuyet and his entourage, left the capital city of Hue to take refuge in Tan So (Quang Tri). At Tan So, King Ham Nghi issued the Can Vuong edict on July 13, 1885, calling on all people to rise up and fight against the French, protect the independence and sovereignty of the nation and restore the country's borders.

Mr. Dang Van Luyen, a descendant of King Ham Nghi (currently living in the US), presented a style award to an outstanding student in the competition.

When participating in the lesson in the form of the challenging game "Truyen Chieu Du", the students were extremely excited. They also listened to experts impart historical knowledge and met Mr. Dang Van Luyen (currently living in the US, a descendant of King Ham Nghi).
Attractive game "Truyen Chieu Du"
The program is designed in the form of an interesting game called "Passing the Royal Edict" with challenges such as "Receiving the Royal Edict", "Crossing Mountains and Forests", "Rain of Arrows and Bullets"... The team that overcomes the 4 challenges and brings the "Can Vuong Edict" to the finish line the fastest will be the winning team.
Along with the contest, there is also the game "Who is the wise historian?", helping children approach history intuitively, practice skills and nurture patriotism.
The program also has a "Young Media Ambassador" contest with 2 videos from 2 schools, with narration and emotional storytelling from the students' perspective, attracting public attention with thousands of interactions...

“I usually only know about the Can Vuong movement through textbooks, but when I participate in the game of transmitting the royal decree, I feel like I am living in the atmosphere of 1885. Learning history becomes much easier to understand and more interesting,” Thao Nhi, a student at Thong Nhat Secondary School, shared.
Sharing about the significance of the program, Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, said that organizing heritage education activities for students not only helps them understand history better but also arouses national pride.
“Students are of many dreams and ambitions. Most of them want to become heroes. And historical stories like “The Heroic Spirit of the Can Vuong Movement” if inspired will bring them a lot of inspiration,” said Mr. Hoang Viet Trung.

"The heritage education program "Hao khi Can Vuong" is extremely meaningful, helping students have a space to experience and practice historical knowledge in particular and related integrated subjects in general. The program also creates conditions for students to practice soft skills in life when experiencing many games", Ms. Nguyen Thi Linh Chi, Vice Principal of Thong Nhat Secondary School, Hue City, shared.
