Number of orders increased
During the first three days of the Festival (from December 5 to 7), Chu Ward Central Square was always bustling and crowded. The exhibition booths of cooperatives, businesses, and garden owners were scientifically arranged, creating a colorful picture of specialty fruits, OCOP products, handicrafts, clothing, and consumer goods. The number of visitors increased sharply not only due to shopping needs but also because of the attraction of the garden tourism model that is clearly taking shape.

The highlight of this year's Festival is the flow of business visitors and tourists visiting the gardens. The orange, red grapefruit, green-skin grapefruit, and Dien grapefruit gardens in Chu and Phuong Son wards and the communes of Luc Ngan, Kien Lao, Deo Gia... have become bustling destinations. Here, visitors can directly experience the process of caring for, harvesting, and enjoying fruits right in the garden. For businesses, the survey helps them accurately assess the quality, scale of the growing area, and the ability to supply products - a prerequisite for long-term cooperation. Mr. Tran Dinh En in Tan Truong residential group (Chu ward), owner of a grapefruit garden of about 1.5 hectares, said: "Since the opening day of the Festival, my family has sold more than 1 ton of green-skin grapefruit, priced at 35,000 VND/kg; the Dien grapefruit will be harvested in 20 days, but traders in Hanoi have already placed a deposit."
Many garden owners said that the number of visitors has increased, including representatives of supermarket chains and clean food distribution systems. Some businesses have proposed stable cooperation in consumption, and at the same time commented on technical standards, packaging, and labels to increase commercial value. This is an important step forward, because the direct meeting between producers - distributors - consumers has created a more substantial connection chain.
According to information from the Department of Industry and Trade, the large purchasing power at the Festival continues to affirm the position of Bac Ninh agricultural products. Dozens of tons of oranges, grapefruits and a large volume of consumer goods and clothing have been sold in the past three days. Quan ho performances, folk songs, and fruit dishes also attracted a large audience, creating a unique cultural highlight, harmonizing Kinh Bac tradition and the beauty of the midland gardens.
Linking power
As part of the Festival's activities, the trade connection conference between the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Ninh province and the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho city took place on December 6, creating a highlight on supply-demand cooperation. The event attracted agricultural production, logistics, distribution and e-commerce enterprises, opening an important link between the Red River Delta and the Mekong Delta. Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Ninh province Nguyen Minh Hieu emphasized: "Bac Ninh is playing the role of an industrial and commercial center of the North, benefiting greatly from two economic corridors and the North-South dynamic axis. This helps local agricultural products have conditions to expand their markets, especially when connecting with regions with agricultural strengths such as the Southwest".

The representative of the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho city also affirmed the desire to cooperate long-term with Bac Ninh in agricultural product consumption, developing preservation chains, logistics, e-commerce and production support services. At the conference, many businesses of the two localities signed a memorandum of understanding, agreeing to open points to introduce and supply products and coordinate in building common standards for typical fruits and agricultural products. In particular, Ha Bac Food Joint Stock Company signed a cooperation agreement on purchasing and supplying rice with the Western Clean Food Safety Company Limited; Dung Tien Trading and Service Company Limited signed a cooperation agreement on purchasing and supplying cakes and candies with Duy Tan Food Processing Company Limited...
Also within the framework of the Festival, on December 7, in Chu ward, a workshop was held “Introducing agricultural product processing technology, fertilizer products, and biological pesticides”. At the workshop, delegates listened to scientists and researchers from the Plant Protection Institute (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), fertilizer and pesticide manufacturing enterprises introduce new technologies, equipment and solutions in processing and preserving agricultural products after harvest to help prolong the preservation time, increase the value of goods; introduce safe and effective organic fertilizers and biological pesticides suitable for each type of crop.
The frank and substantive exchanges at conferences and seminars show new trends in agricultural development: from small-scale production to large supply chains; from purely agricultural economy to value-added economy, linked with services, trade and tourism.
In addition to economic value, the Bac Ninh Fruit Festival 2025 also has unique cultural and tourism activities. Quan Ho space, folk songs, garden landscapes and dishes made from fruits have created a rich experience, contributing to shaping the image of Bac Ninh not only as an "industrial capital" but also as a land with identity, capable of developing ecological agricultural tourism.
The fact that tourists and businesses come to the gardens has also opened up the prospect of forming garden tourism routes associated with experiences of farming, relaxation and Kinh Bac culture. When combined with accommodation services, restaurants, rural markets and indigenous cultural spaces, this model can become a typical "green tourism cluster" of the province.
The Bac Ninh Fruit Festival 2025 will last until December 10. With positive results in the first three days, the event is expected to become an important "push" for Bac Ninh to enhance its specialty products, promote trade in the North - South region, and affirm the province's new position on the map of Vietnam's agricultural tourism. This is also the foundation for Bac Ninh to continue developing the "agriculture - culture - trade - tourism" model in a sustainable, modern and unique direction.
