Reviewing the progress of tasks on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation

(DN) - On December 2, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province held a conference to review the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo and Resolution No. 71/NQ-CP of the Government on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation in the province in 2025 and implementation directions in 2026.

Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son chaired the conference. Attending the conference were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Ha Anh Dung and leaders of departments, branches, and representatives of localities in the province.

The conference was held in person and online to 95 communes and wards in the province.

According to the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai province, regarding the implementation of goals and tasks on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation in the province, as of early December 2025, 10/45 targets have been achieved and exceeded the set plan, 35/45 targets are being implemented, statistically and evaluated. For 84 tasks with a deadline in 2025, up to now, 39 tasks have been completed (accounting for more than 46.4%); 30/84 tasks are being implemented within the deadline...

Speaking at the conference, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son emphasized: Departments, branches, sectors and localities need to review the progress of assigned tasks on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation in Dong Nai province. In particular, it is necessary to focus on reviewing, ensuring progress, quality, completing the set goals in 2025, as well as determining and implementing the roadmap for key tasks and goals in 2026. At the same time, leaders of units must uphold their roles and responsibilities in directing, operating, linking digital transformation, science, technology and innovation with the top key tasks, deciding the management and development capacity of agencies and units.

The provincial leaders requested relevant departments and branches, especially the Department of Science and Technology, to promote the development of digital technology industry and digital economy, deploy the Center for science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation of the province; promote the effectiveness of the Provincial Science and Technology Development Fund, as well as improve the effectiveness of the linkage between the three parties (State - institutes/schools - enterprises) to promote the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in the province...

In particular, the authorities must coordinate closely to unify the implementation plan of the Long Thanh Concentrated Digital Technology Park Project, because this is a breakthrough project, the core to attract investment in the province's strategic technologies in the coming time.
