On Business Class flights from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, and Phu Quoc, fresh longan will be served instead of the usual dessert. Similarly, on flights from Hanoi to Europe, Australia, Japan, and South Korea, longan is also on the menu in Business Class and Premium Economy Class.

In addition, Hung Yen longan will be served at the Golden Lotus Lounge at Noi Bai airport, helping passengers enjoy the sweet taste and unique aroma while waiting for their flight.

To maintain the fresh taste, Vietnam Airlines applies strict selection, transportation and preservation processes. Each longan is checked for weight, juiciness and sweetness, meeting VietGAP, 4-star OCOP, GlobalGAP standards and is eligible for export to high-end markets.

This activity is part of Vietnam Airlines’ long-term program “Four seasons of fruit – Four seasons of love”, bringing Vietnamese agricultural products closer to domestic and international passengers. Over the years, the program has introduced specialties such as Thanh Ha lychee, Cao Phong orange, and Hoa Loc mango, contributing to promoting and supporting the consumption of agricultural products for the people.

Vietnam Airlines prioritizes the use of seasonal agricultural products in its menu, selects ingredients from local products, minimally processes, does not use preservatives, and synchronizes transportation according to flight schedules, in order to reduce emissions throughout the entire logistics chain.

The airline has identified bringing Vietnamese culture to the world as a strategy that Vietnam Airlines is steadfastly committed to implementing in the long term. From the dishes and gifts on the serving tray, every detail is carefully prepared to convey the spirit of hospitality, culinary values and national identity. As the national airline, Vietnam Airlines not only connects Vietnam with the world but also acts as a "brand ambassador" of the country, accompanying Vietnamese agricultural products in the international market.
