SHB General Director awarded the title of Outstanding Vietnamese Businesswoman

(Chinhphu.vn) - SHB General Director Ngo Thu Ha has just been awarded the title "Outstanding Vietnamese Businesswoman - Golden Rose" by VCCI in 2025 - a noble award to honor female leaders with outstanding achievements in business, actively contributing to the economic and social development of the country.

The Vietnam Confederation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) has just held the "Outstanding Vietnamese Businesswoman - Golden Rose" Award Ceremony in 2025. This is a national title, organized by VCCI according to the provisions of the Law on Emulation and Commendation 2022, with a review cycle every 5 years.

This title honors female entrepreneurs with outstanding achievements in production and business and many positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the country.

Ms. Ngo Thu Ha - General Director of Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) is one of the female entrepreneurs honored at this year's Award Ceremony.

"I am honored to be awarded the title 'Outstanding Vietnamese Businesswoman - Golden Rose' in 2025. This is not only a personal recognition but also a testament to the ability and important role of women in business and economic development. This title is a motivation for me and the SHB team to continue to strive to innovate, improve service quality, and make positive contributions to the country's development," SHB General Director Ngo Thu Ha shared.

Ms. Ngo Thu Ha, born in 1973, is a PhD in Economics and a member of CPA Australia with 31 years of experience working in the finance and banking sector. She joined SHB in 2008 and was appointed General Director from September 2022.

During her time at SHB, Ms. Ngo Thu Ha has held many important positions in the bank's business operations, contributing to SHB's remarkable development, becoming a leading financial institution in Vietnam, reaching regional and international levels. SHB is currently in the Top 5 largest private commercial banks in Vietnam in terms of charter capital, Top 10 most prestigious private commercial banks in Vietnam (according to Vietnam Report), Top 200 largest enterprises in Southeast Asia announced by Fortune Magazine (USA).

Personally, Ms. Ngo Thu Ha has received many certificates of merit and awards from domestic and international organizations, recognizing her contributions in management, administration, innovation and business development associated with social responsibility, including the "Asia's Outstanding Entrepreneur 2024" award honored by Enterprise Asia.

Not only focusing on business growth, SHB also pays special attention to sustainable development through actively implementing ESG (Environment, Society and Corporate Governance) initiatives, aiming towards a green banking model and comprehensive digital banking.

In addition, SHB and General Director Ngo Thu Ha always actively participate in social security activities, promote gender equality, support small and medium enterprises - especially those owned by women - to contribute to enhancing the role of Vietnamese female entrepreneurs in the new era.
