PTSC Thanh Hoa summarizes 9 months of implementing STG3 Project

On October 16, 2025, PTSC Thanh Hoa held a workshop to summarize 9 months of implementing the STG3 Project, marking an important milestone in the successful completion of two main phases of the project - the Demolition phase and the Technical Detail Design phase of the STG3 project. At the workshop, representatives of the STG3 Project Management Board, including PTSC Corporation, PTSC Thanh Hoa and the NSRP Investor looked back on the 9-month journey full of efforts, evaluated the overall results achieved, shared implementation experiences and drew valuable lessons for the next phases. During the implementation process, PTSC Corporation, PTSC Thanh Hoa has closely coordinated with NSRP and related parties in the synchronous implementation of many important items of the STG3 project - from design work, inspection and assessment of the status of existing items of structures, pipes, electrical equipment, control equipment, mechanical equipment, steel reinforcement, foundation... and ordering the purchase of main equipment. This is a large amount of work, constructed under operating factory conditions, requiring precision, high technique, strict compliance with safety standards and NSRP's procedures.

With the spirit of initiative - professionalism - determination in action, PTSC / PTSC Thanh Hoa has successfully completed two important milestones of the project including: detailed technical design (design engineering) and demolition (demolition). Both milestones were completed ahead of schedule, demonstrating the management capacity, technical level and responsible working spirit of the STG3 Project Board and demonstrating the high commitment of PTSC / PTSC Thanh Hoa's leadership to NSRP customers. This achievement not only contributes to affirming the capacity to implement maintenance and repair projects in the oil and gas industry of PTSC / PTSC Thanh Hoa, but also builds great trust with NSRP customers to continue to support and create conditions for PTSC / PTSC Thanh Hoa to complete the remaining milestones of the STG3 project as well as EPC projects, upgrading, converting, maintaining and repairing the factory in the coming time.
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Pham Hung Phuong - Director of PTSC Thanh Hoa expressed his deep gratitude to the Investor for always accompanying, supporting and effectively coordinating throughout the project implementation process. He emphasized that the trust and close cooperation between the parties are the key factors helping the project achieve results beyond expectations, ensuring absolute safety, quality and progress.

The workshop is not only an opportunity to look back on the past 9 months, but also an opportunity for the entire project team to strengthen their determination, promote their experience, and prepare for the construction and installation phase of STG3 - a key item in the overall STG3 project. With the foundation that has been achieved, PTSC Thanh Hoa will continue to accompany NSRP to complete the next goals, contributing to affirming the position of a key unit in the field of maintenance and repair of the oil and gas industry in Vietnam.

Previously, on November 20, 2024, NSRP and PTSC Corporation officially signed the STG3 replacement project contract. The scope of work includes replacing and converting Steam Turbine 113-A-006 with a capacity of 41.4 MW and auxiliary systems. This is a very important and strategic project, not only to ensure the supply of electricity for the continuous operation of Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Plant, but also to mark an important step forward for PTSC Corporation as well as PTSC Thanh Hoa in the field of upgrading and converting in petrochemical refineries and energy industrial plants.
