10th Session of the National Assembly: Dealing with a huge amount of work in the first week

With a high sense of responsibility and concentration, the National Assembly completed the program contents in the first working week, including personnel work.

The 15th National Assembly solemnly opened the 10th session - the last session of the 2021-2026 term.

Talking in the hallway of the National Assembly on October 25, many delegates assessed that in the first working week (October 20-25), with a serious, responsible, urgent working spirit and high political determination, the National Assembly handled a very large amount of work, arguably the largest ever.

According to delegate Nguyen Thi Viet Nga (Hai Phong delegation), in the first working week of the Session, delegates heard a number of reports from the Government, including a report on the socio-economic situation in 2025 and directions and tasks for 2026; a socio-economic report of the past 5 years and directions for the next term.

In addition, delegates also focused on discussing in groups important draft laws that the National Assembly considered, commented on, and passed during this session.

At the group discussions, delegates actively contributed many important opinions on the first draft laws as well as draft laws that needed to be amended and supplemented to institutionalize the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, demonstrating a very high sense of responsibility.

According to the delegate, on the last working day of the first week (October 25), the National Assembly's personnel work was completed on all proposed work contents.

Previously, the personnel plan had been discussed thoroughly and democratically by the National Assembly, and the steps were carried out in the correct order and in accordance with regulations. The delegates participating in the vote approved with a very high percentage, demonstrating high unity.

The National Assembly passed: Resolution on electing Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai as Chairman of the Committee on Science, Technology and Environment of the 15th National Assembly; electing Mr. Nguyen Huu Dong as Chairman of the Committee on Delegation Affairs; electing Mr. Le Quang Manh as Secretary General of the National Assembly - Head of the National Assembly Office; Resolution on approving the Prime Minister's proposal to appoint Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra and Mr. Ho Quoc Dung as Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2021-2026 term; Resolution on approving the Prime Minister's proposal to appoint a number of Ministers for the 2021-2026 term: Mr. Le Hoai Trung as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Tran Duc Thang as Minister of Agriculture and Environment, and Mr. Do Thanh Binh as Minister of Home Affairs.

Delegate Duong Khac Mai (Lam Dong) assessed that the 10th session is the last session of the 15th National Assembly term. Therefore, the amount of work that needs to be resolved is very large.

With a high sense of responsibility and concentration, the National Assembly completed the program contents in the first working week, including personnel work.

Delegates demonstrated a sense of responsibility, highly promoted their intelligence and enthusiasm in the discussions, contributed many ideas, and proposed solutions and recommendations for important issues of the country.

Delegate Duong Khac Mai expressed his belief that with the enthusiasm and responsible working spirit of the delegates, along with careful and scientific preparation and close coordination between relevant agencies, the 10th Session will have the following working days full of excitement, efficiency and great success, completing all set goals, leaving an impression on legislative quality and institutional vision./.
