The 15th National Assembly solemnly opened its 10th session - the final session of the 2021-2026 term.
Speaking on the sidelines of the National Assembly on October 25th, many delegates assessed that, during the first week of work (October 20-25), with a serious, responsible, urgent work ethic and high political determination, the National Assembly had resolved a very large volume of work, arguably the largest ever.
According to delegate Nguyen Thi Viet Nga (from Hai Phong delegation), during the first week of the session, delegates heard several reports from the Government, including a report on the socio -economic situation in 2025 and the direction and tasks for 2026; and a report on the socio-economic situation of the past five years and the direction for the next term.
In addition, delegates also focused their group discussions on important draft laws that the National Assembly will consider, comment on, and pass during this session.
During the group discussions, delegates actively contributed many important opinions on the first draft laws on construction as well as draft laws that need to be amended and supplemented in order to institutionalize the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, demonstrating a very high sense of responsibility.
According to the delegates, on the last working day of the first week (October 25), the National Assembly's personnel work was completed on all the planned tasks.
Prior to this, the personnel plan had been thoroughly and democratically discussed by the National Assembly, with all steps followed in the correct order and according to regulations. The delegates participating in the vote approved it with a very high percentage, demonstrating a high degree of consensus.

The National Assembly has passed: Resolutions electing Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai as Chair of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment for the 15th term; electing Mr. Nguyen Huu Dong as Chair of the Committee on Representative Affairs; electing Mr. Le Quang Manh as Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office; Resolutions approving the Prime Minister's proposal to appoint Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra and Mr. Ho Quoc Dung as Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2021-2026 term; Resolutions approving the Prime Minister's proposal to appoint several Ministers for the 2021-2026 term: Mr. Le Hoai Trung as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Tran Duc Thang as Minister of Agriculture and Environment, and Mr. Do Thanh Binh as Minister of Home Affairs.
Representative Duong Khac Mai (Lam Dong) assessed that the 10th session is the final session of the 15th National Assembly term. Therefore, the volume of work to be addressed is very large.
With a high sense of responsibility and focus, the National Assembly completed its agenda items during the first week of work, including personnel matters.
The delegates demonstrated a sense of responsibility, fully utilizing their intellect and dedication in the discussions, contributing many opinions, and offering solutions and recommendations on important national issues.
Delegate Duong Khac Mai expressed his confidence that, with the dedication and responsible work ethic of the delegates, along with thorough and scientific preparation and close coordination among relevant agencies, the 10th Session will have vibrant, effective, and successful working days, achieving all set objectives and leaving a mark on the quality of legislation and institutional vision.
