Xiaomi has expanded its End-of-Life (EOL) list, ending software support for 12 smartphones across its Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO brands. The list includes the high-end Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra and Redmi K50 Pro, along with more mainstream phones like the Redmi Note 11 Pro and POCO M4 Pro 5G.

Once devices are added to the EoL list, they will no longer receive any form of software support, including HyperOS or Android version upgrades and security patches. In other words, these phone models are no longer covered by the manufacturer's support policy.

This is part of the Chinese tech giant’s normal product support cycle, where older devices are phased out after a period of support. The end of updates doesn’t mean the phone will immediately become ‘junk’, but it will certainly face more risks and become outdated over time.

Unpatched vulnerabilities can be exploited by bad actors to gain unauthorized access to user data, steal passwords, or even install malware.

Here is a list of the 12 phone models that have just been added to the EOL list:

  • Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra
  • Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro
  • Xiaomi Mi 11i
  • Xiaomi Civic 1S
  • Redmi K50 Pro
  • Redmi K50
  • Redmi K40 Pro+
  • Redmi K40 Pro
  • Redmi Note 11 Pro
  • Redmi 10 2022
  • POCO F4 GT
  • POCO M4 Pro 5G

If you are using devices on the list above, you should consider upgrading to newer Xiaomi devices to better protect your personal data.
