Hoi An ( Da Nang city) has just been honored by the World's Best Awards 2025 at 6th place in the list of the world's top 25 cities, and 5th in the list of the top 15 cities in Asia.

This is the result of an annual survey of awards voted by readers of Travel+Leisure magazine for large cities with lots of space and rich potential for exploration .

Accordingly, to be included in this voting list, destinations must possess all the elements that make tourists love them: spectacular sights, top-notch luxury hotels, rich cuisine and a vibrant, attractive atmosphere.

In particular, each city voted has its own unique characteristics and appeal. This is proof that the world always contains countless new things worth exploring.

Notably, Asia has shown strong tourism appeal with 7 cities in the top 10: including Chiang Mai (Thailand), Tokyo (Japan), Bangkok (Thailand), Jaipur (India), Hoi An (Vietnam), Kyoto (Japan) and Ubud (Indonesia).

Once the most important and bustling trading port in Southeast Asia, Hoi An today stands out with its unique ancient architecture and rich network of rivers and canals, a place where local and international cultures harmoniously blend.

That special feature of Hoi An is associated with the marks of tiled roofs, rows of houses, pagodas, or ancient assembly halls. Hoi An is also recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage thanks to its unique historical, architectural and cultural values.

With an impressive score of 91/100 rated by readers, Hoi An ancient town once again affirmed its position as a top destination, being honored in the "WBA Hall of Fame" of Travel+Leisure - a title to honor destinations voted in the World's Best Awards system of this magazine for many consecutive years./.
