On the morning of November 6, comrade Be Thanh Tinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council worked with Cao Bang Newspaper. At the working session, Comrade Sam Viet An, Provincial Party Committee member, Editor-in-Chief of Cao Bang Newspaper, gave an overview of the unit's operations since the beginning of the year, especially after the merger of the two agencies of Newspaper and Radio - Television from June 1, 2025. Despite many initial difficulties, the agency quickly stabilized its organization, perfected its apparatus, assigned tasks, operated effectively, maintained smooth information on all types of press, closely followed the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee and ensured timeliness, accuracy and efficiency. Increase the quantity and quality of news, articles, special pages, topics, and columns, clearly reflecting the direction and administration of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee, the implementation of departments, branches and sectors; the thoughts and aspirations of the people and social issues; diversify forms of expression in print, electronic, radio, television and digital platforms; safe operation of transmission and broadcasting systems.

In 10 months of 2025, the Newspaper published nearly 30,000 news and articles on the following fields: current events, politics , economics, Party building, government, security - defense, foreign affairs. Published printed issues of news, weekends, and Highland Photo News. Each month, it produces 42 television columns, 10 radio columns, over 150 local radio programs and an average of 30 ethnic language television programs and sends them to VTV5. Conducted 6 live broadcasts of major events in the province. In addition to producing news and articles published in various types of press of the agency, reporters produce and send news and articles to collaborate in the news program of Vietnam Television, ethnic language radio columns of VTV5 and a number of central press agencies, contributing to spreading information of Cao Bang province to the public nationwide.

The team of reporters and editors participated in creating over 200 works for the press competitions at all levels and won many high prizes at the Golden Hammer and Sickle Awards, the Political Competition on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation, the National Press Awards, the National Television and Radio Festival, industry and provincial press awards...

In addition to the achieved results, the unit encountered some difficulties and problems. The operation of the unit according to the unified press management model with many different types caused difficulties in management, coordination and information sharing. The equipment did not meet the requirements of the current press trend, did not meet the standards for building a converged newsroom; production equipment was lacking and did not meet technical standards. Especially the color vehicle equipment to serve live TV programs, flycam overhead cameras, the server system for storing documents, the studio was degraded... After implementing the 2-level local government, the districts and cities dissolved the Cultural - Communication Center, the news and article collaboration of collaborators was limited, affecting the information at the grassroots level.

Delegates exchanged, discussed, answered, and clarified solutions to the recommendations proposed by Cao Bang Newspaper at the working session, such as: Early promulgation of regulations on functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Newspaper and radio and television so that the agency can operate stably. Opening training courses on journalism for members and reporters in the direction of multimedia and multi-platform journalism, implementing a converged newsroom. Arranging a centralized office, considering providing additional funding for investment in facilities, equipment and machinery to meet the requirements of modern journalism and the digital transformation of local journalism. Strengthening effective coordination, creating conditions for reporters to exploit information; directing timely resolution and resolution of issues discovered and published by the newspaper; enhancing the responsibility of spokespersons and providing information to the press of agencies in the political system...

Emphasizing that investment in the press is extremely necessary and urgent in the current period, regarding the recommendations and proposals of Cao Bang Newspaper, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council suggested: The Department of Finance advises the Provincial People's Committee to determine the location of the centralized working headquarters so that the Newspaper can soon stabilize its workplace. Cao Bang Newspaper urgently reviews equipment, builds a Report on funding and technical means, arranges them in order of priority, immediate and long-term needs to submit to the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for comments on policies and balances the budget.
