The Chu Ru cultural village in Dong Ho village, Quang Lap commune, was built with a total budget of nearly 7 billion VND; of which, 6 billion VND came from the central budget, the rest was from the local budget. This is a space to display artifacts, preserve the material and spiritual values of the Chu Ru people, with traditional wooden stilt house architecture, cultural artifacts and experiential activities. This cultural village has attracted a large number of tourists to visit and learn.
Ms. Thai Thi Minh Hang, Head of the Culture Department of Quang Lap commune, said: "After receiving the handover, the locality has built a program to promote the value of the cultural village, serve the community and promote Chu Ru culture."
In Lam Dong, there is also the Da Tong Cultural Reserve in Dam Rong 4 commune, with an investment capital of nearly 11 billion VND, which will be put into operation from 2023. Recently, in the premises of this reserve, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province has organized the restoration of many beautiful customs and practices of indigenous ethnic minorities, such as the wedding ceremony of the M'Nong people, fully recreating rituals, cuisine and spiritual life with the participation of many local artisans. Or the filial piety ceremony of the M'Nong people and the rain-praying festival of the Co Ho people... thereby contributing to attracting tourists, spreading cultural beauty and educating traditional values.
Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dam Rong 4 Commune Nguyen Van Quang said: "This activity not only preserves cultural values but also spreads beautiful images of the land and people here. In today's era, elderly artisans - the "keepers" of culture - play an important role in preserving and promoting the cultural values of local ethnic minorities."
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, in recent times, the province has always prioritized socio -economic development in ethnic minority areas through the National Target Program for the period 2021-2025, especially Project 6 on cultural preservation associated with tourism. Up to now, the province has mobilized resources, issued support policies, and synchronously implemented solutions in ethnic minority areas, contributing to changing the face of rural and mountainous areas. The Department has presided over the development of detailed plans, divided into stages, focused on and promoted the role of ethnic minorities. Activities include collecting and preserving tangible and intangible heritage; building villages, hamlets, and folk culture clubs; organizing cultural family festivals, cultural hamlets, etc. At the same time, organizing the classification of heritage such as folk songs, folk dances, folk music, folk knowledge, crafts, festivals and customs, etc.
Specifically, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has supported 111 sets of equipment for cultural houses in remote villages, built 77 community bookcases; supported 27 excellent artisans to teach and train the next generation; organized four folk sports competitions, organized 36 classes to teach traditional musical instruments to ethnic minority youth; supported costumes, props, sound equipment... for 203 traditional art troupes. At the same time, implemented the work of preventing the degradation of historical relics, such as the N'Trang Long Heroic Relic in the western area of the province; the national historical relic of Po Nit Temple in Bac Binh commune, the eastern area of the province; promoted and promoted tourism combined with surveying tourism potential; selected and built typical tourism products.
According to the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, Nguyen Van Loc, in order to effectively implement the work of preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development, the unit continues to promote propaganda among the people, especially in ethnic minority areas, to raise awareness of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws and awareness of preserving traditional culture. Focus on educating the young generation of ethnic minorities in the locality so that they deeply understand, are proud of and proactively preserve and promote the values of national culture. At the same time, diversify forms of information, such as traditional press channels, apply digital technology such as social networks, artificial intelligence (AI), 3D mapping... to convey information quickly and promptly.
The province continues to consolidate the system of grassroots cultural institutions such as building and improving the quality of activities of public cultural units; directing cultural, physical training and sports movements to the grassroots, prioritizing the use of typical cultural forms of indigenous peoples to serve the people. Along with that, perfecting the management mechanism, applying the principles of annual and phased planning, allocating career capital in 5-year phases so that localities can proactively develop and implement the above meaningful and humane plan.
