"New Empire" even though the film's content is not groundbreaking

"Godzilla x Kong: A New Age" has a predictable plot, including the ending. Since the trailer was released, many viewers have predicted the plot of the film when the two super monsters Godzilla and Kong team up to fight against a new enemy.

"Godzilla x Kong: A New Age" is directed by Adam Wingard - the father of the hugely successful film Godzilla vs. Kong.

Speaking about the idea for the new film, Wingard said: “Once you see Godzilla and Kong have a climactic battle in ‘Godzilla vs. Kong,’ the question is, ‘What’s next?’ The obvious answer is: unite the two monsters. But you can’t let them join together too easily. Once you set up Godzilla and Kong to join together, you can’t separate them, but these two monsters don’t always get along…”

Centered on two super monsters, director Adam Wingard and his crew take the audience on an adventure to a new world - Hollow Earth. Here, there are many other titans, with lurking dangers and mysteries about ancient cultures.

In this part, the monsters have a lot of room to show off their skills. The storyline of the human characters is restrained to the maximum.

The top plus points of "Godzilla x Kong: A New Age" are the special effects, grand scale, and many action scenes.

Not only is the setting expanded, the main characters themselves also change, along with the appearance of villains.

Godzilla - the god of destruction has an extremely "combat" energy transformation in the new part, with pink spines and atomic breath.

Meanwhile, Kong is equipped with an additional glove - a detail closely related to the previous part, besides the appearance of new evil monsters.

The film has a large amount of monster fighting scenes, especially many scenes where there are only the sounds of monsters growling and "dissecting" each other without any human intervention. This new change brings efficiency to the project.

Reach more younger audiences

In this theatrical release, with the change in the film review and classification system that was updated last year, "Godzilla x Kong: A New Age" is labeled K - audiences under 13 can watch the film when accompanied by a parent or guardian, similar to the film's PG-13 label in its home country of North America.

With the K label, the film can reach audiences under 13 years old in Vietnam.

On the day of the early screening on March 28 alone, the film garnered an impressive number (with more than 100,000 viewers and a revenue of approximately 10 billion VND), bringing "Godzilla x Kong: New Empire" to the throne of the monster (kaiju) film with the highest early screening revenue of all time in Vietnam, as well as the film with the highest early screening revenue at the Vietnamese box office of Warner Bros. Pictures.
