The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) recently announced tourism trends, according to which Vietnam ranks 7th in the world and is the most attractive tourist destination in Asia. Along with Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Da Nang continues to maintain and affirm its position as an attractive destination for foreign tourists. In the context of fierce global competition in the tourism industry and increasingly high demands and expectations from tourists, maintaining and promoting the image of a "safe, civilized, and attractive tourist city" requires the joint efforts, determination, and continuous innovation from the government, businesses, the community, and relevant authorities.

Safety and attractiveness are always prerequisites for attracting and retaining tourists. Da Nang has been doing very well in building the image of a safe, civilized, friendly, and hospitable city, especially in key tourist areas such as Ba Na Hills and Son Tra Peninsula.

Marble Mountains, My Khe Beach, Pham Van Dong Beach… Particularly during peak seasons of festivals and international events, such as the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) or the APEC 2017 High-Level Week…, the city consistently leaves a positive impression on leaders and domestic and international tourists thanks to its professional organization and safety measures.

Da Nang is known as the "most livable city," not only because of its beautiful natural scenery, but also because of its ability to reinvent itself. Landmark structures such as the Han River Bridge, Dragon Bridge, the Ferris Wheel, the Golden Bridge in Ba Na Hills, and the effective management of services at My Khe and Non Nuoc beaches have quickly put Da Nang on the world tourism map. The city also focuses on organizing international cultural and sporting events such as the International Marathon, DIFF, the "Wonderful Da Nang" festival, and paragliding and surfing competitions, creating novel and attractive experiences to retain tourists.

However, the "attractiveness" of Da Nang doesn't just come from grand structures and events, but also from quality tourism services, environmentally friendly experiences, unique cuisine, and the hospitality of the local people. Training professional tourism personnel, improving foreign language skills, service skills, and problem-solving abilities are essential to ensure tourists are satisfied and want to return to Da Nang.

However, in some places and at some times, the harassment of tourists and street vending still occur, affecting the overall tourism environment of the city. Therefore, to build the image of Da Nang as "always attractive," the involvement of the government, the tourism industry, and relevant agencies is not enough; it requires the strong participation of the entire community and businesses. Every citizen of Da Nang has been, is, and will be a friendly and civilized "tourism ambassador," conscious of environmental protection, not raising prices unreasonably, not harassing tourists, and not littering indiscriminately. The tourism business community must always be the pioneering force in innovation, improving service quality, developing new tourism products, and linking tourism with culture, ecology, and the community. Schools and training institutions for the "smoke-free economy" need to strengthen links with businesses to provide practical training that meets the demand for high-quality human resources. At the same time, it is necessary to continue improving the management and supervision capacity and service spirit of the functional forces, and to establish a close coordination mechanism between sectors, localities, businesses, and the community to strictly handle violations that affect the tourism environment.

Building Da Nang into a "permanently attractive" tourist destination is not a fleeting slogan but a long-term process requiring perseverance and continuous innovation. It's a journey of building trust, igniting love for the city, and preserving its unique identity and beautiful image in the eyes of friends both domestically and internationally. Let every visitor leave Da Nang with a smile, a beautiful memory, and a desire to return – that would be the greatest success for the tourism industry of the city on the Han River today and in the future.
