Balancing rest and study/training for children is a real challenge for many families, largely due to parents being too busy with work. Lacking time for their children, many send them to grandparents in the countryside or to language centers so they can work. Enrolling children in skills classes or physical training programs is also a solution to help them develop physically and mentally, preparing them well for the new school year.
This summer, Ms. Do Thi Thuy Ha (residing in An Chau town, Chau Thanh district) gave her 10-year-old daughter a two-week break right after the school year ended. "At the beginning of summer, I let my daughter relax and participate in skill-building classes. I only started having her review classes closer to the start of the new school year," Ms. Ha shared.

Youth union and children's council forces at all levels in the province have organized recreational activities, life skills training, cultural and artistic activities, and sports activities for teenagers and children in residential areas. Notable examples include: visiting and giving gifts to disadvantaged children; disseminating information on policies and laws related to children; organizing life skills classes and classes on accident and injury prevention, including drowning prevention, for children…
To make summer days joyful and meaningful, while avoiding unfortunate accidents, schools and organizations need to cooperate closely to create more beneficial summer activities for children, giving them opportunities to experience and practice essential life skills. Parents need to create a cheerful and relaxed learning and playing environment so that children do not feel pressured or burdened, providing them with a beneficial and enjoyable summer that develops their talents.
