According to Gazzetta dello Sport , De Rossi has had several meetings with Wolves in recent months, including discussions regarding the head coach position at the club. Wolves are going through a difficult time under Vitor Pereira. In the event of a change of manager, De Rossi could be considered by Wolves.
According to the Italian press, when coach Gary O'Neil was fired last December, De Rossi was also considered a potential option. However, Wolves decided to put their faith in Pereira.
De Rossi, 41, is unemployed after leaving AS Roma in September 2024. Ivan Juric, who was appointed by Roma to replace De Rossi, also lost his job due to poor results after only 2 months in charge.
