Night of Beethoven, Chopin and Grieg

The concert will feature Beethoven's Symphony No. 1 in C major (often called "Beethoven's First Symphony"), a work that showcased his inventiveness and innovation of classical forms that he spent the rest of his career perfecting; Chopin's Polish Fantasy for piano and orchestra (which Chopin called "Potpourri on Polish themes"); Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor (a work that demonstrates Grieg's deep connection with Norwegian folk music and landscape, with romantic melodies evoking the grandeur of his homeland, composed when he was 25 and still unknown).

In addition to Chopin's music, Poland also had a prominent place in the music night with the participation of pianist Joanna Marcinkowska and talented conductor and composer Wojciech Czepiel.
