Ngoc Ha, the wife of artist Cong Ly, recently posted a lengthy message on her personal page responding to negative comments surrounding her husband's treatment process.
At the beginning of the article, Ngoc Ha stated that she initially had no intention of responding because she believed that "the truth would eventually stand." However, when silence was perceived as weakness and the attacks intensified, she decided to speak out to defend her own honor and that of her family.
Ngoc Ha expressed regret upon reading comments suggesting her family was "begging for compassion" or "losing all sense of decency." She believes it's regrettable that baseless accusations are made in the name of honesty. Cong Ly's wife affirmed that her family has never solicited donations or asked anyone for money for medical treatment.

"My family has never begged anyone for money. We've never appealed for donations. We've never gone to anyone's house to ask for money for medical treatment. All treatment costs have come from the sweat and hard work of my family," she expressed.
Ngoc Ha also refuted the information that she and her husband received full financial support for their treatment in Japan over the past three years. She suggested that those making such claims should provide concrete evidence instead of speculating and judging others.
Recalling the period three years ago, Ngoc Ha said that Cong Ly was once choked up with emotion because he felt helpless in not being able to provide for his son's overseas studies. According to her, that was just a normal feeling for a father, and the male artist never asked anyone for financial support.
Cong Ly's wife also stated that her sharing about the financial burden she faced during her husband's treatment did not mean she was soliciting pity from the community.
"There's a huge difference between sharing and begging. Unfortunately, not everyone is calm enough to distinguish between the two," she wrote.
Concluding her post, Ngoc Ha stated that she has the right to defend her honor and that of her family against slander. She said she will continue to work and earn money through her own efforts to pay for her husband's medical treatment.
"As for those who judge someone's character based solely on a headline, I only hope that one day they understand that a person's honor doesn't lie in what others write about them, but in how they live each day. And a person's character is also clearly revealed through how they treat the suffering of others," Ngoc Ha shared.
