Vinh Moc Tunnels - "Miracle in the underground"

Vinh Moc Tunnels is a Special National Historical Relic, built from 1965-1967. This is a living proof of the will "Not an inch gone, not a millimeter left" of the army and people of Vinh Linh during the war against America.

The tunnel is nearly 2 km long with 3 deep floors, going from 12m to 23m deep into the ground, capable of withstanding all types of American bombs and anti-personnel bombs. The tunnel system is arranged like a miniature village with full housing for families, halls, wells, maternity homes, etc. Under fierce war conditions, 17 babies were born safely underground.

Although not a place of worship or religious pilgrimage, Vinh Moc is still a tourist destination with great spiritual and memorial value. Visitors come here to admire, honor and pay tribute to the sacrifice, indomitable spirit, and extraordinary intelligence of the Vinh Linh people. Located on the DMZ ( Demilitarized Zone) Tourist Route , Vinh Moc is an important stop, connecting visitors with other historical sites such as Hien Luong Bridge, Ben Hai River, Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, creating a meaningful nostalgic journey.
