Proper management of the hubways along Ho Xuan Huong Street will create a positive impression on tourists.
Sam Son is preparing to enter its peak tourist season of 2025, with ambitious targets for visitor numbers and revenue. To realize these goals, the City People's Committee has issued and implemented plans for managing urban order and environmental sanitation throughout the area. This includes the establishment of five tourism order management teams. These teams will operate 24/7, maintaining order in tourism businesses and activities, preventing various types of crimes and other legal violations; receiving reports and information about crimes and handling other legal violations; organizing crime scene protection and providing first aid to victims within their assigned areas; coordinating with ward police to effectively manage electric cars, cyclos, and jet skis; implementing traffic management plans to prevent traffic congestion; and implementing plans to combat price gouging and customer exploitation.
To create a civilized and friendly urban landscape, the city has been focusing on managing and effectively addressing the issue of homeless beggars and street vendors within the beach area and throughout the city. Specifically, the City People's Committee has requested specialized agencies, organizations, and the governments of communes and wards to coordinate closely, especially in disseminating information and mobilizing all individuals and families with beggars in the city and in districts/towns/cities where beggars frequently come to Sam Son to beg. The City Urban Regulations Inspection Team is conducting a review and compiling a list of homeless beggars who frequently appear on Ho Xuan Huong street and within the beach area, in order to plan for their return to their places of residence. Select suitable locations along Ho Xuan Huong street to install several signs promoting the message "Sam Son City says no to begging"... Especially during peak periods, the assigned departments and agencies must regularly inspect, manage, and apply preventive measures to effectively address the issue of homeless people and beggars, especially in the beach area, tourist spots, restaurants, guesthouses, and other accommodation establishments... This will reduce inconvenience, frustration, and discomfort for tourists, as well as contribute to stabilizing social order and safety in the area.
Environmental sanitation is also a priority for the city. Specifically, urban roads are cleaned 365 days a year, twice a day. Waste and construction debris are transported daily from collection points to designated disposal sites. Waste disposal is carried out in accordance with regulations, including leveling, compacting, and covering, to minimize pollution and negative impacts on the environment. Along the eastern beach area of Ho Xuan Huong Street (from the foot of Doc Cuoc Temple to Van Chai Tourist Area), a trash can is placed every 50 meters (with double bins for hazardous waste). For roads in tourist areas, commercial areas, and administrative centers, depending on the specific conditions of each road, the city will select suitable locations for public trash cans and encourage residents and tourists to sort their waste before disposing of it. In addition, for public restrooms (including 5 facilities, managed by the Center for Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism and the Urban Environment and Tourism Services Joint Stock Company), the city requires the units to proactively renovate and clean them, provide signage, assign personnel to manage them on-site, and keep them open to serve residents and tourists.
Ensuring the safety of residents and tourists visiting Sam Son is a crucial factor in building Sam Son's tourism image. Therefore, the City People's Committee has coordinated with the Provincial Police to direct the police in communes and wards, along with other forces, to develop and implement plans to ensure security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention, and beach safety. Simultaneously, it has coordinated with the Department of Health in implementing plans to ensure food safety and hygiene, especially during peak periods and prominent cultural events and festivals. In addition, the city has developed plans for managing photography services; managing businesses at hubways and shower areas on the eastern beach of Ho Xuan Huong road; managing the operation of four-wheeled electric passenger vehicles on a pilot project; arranging and managing the mooring area for rafts and boats on the eastern beach of Ho Xuan Huong road; and organizing and managing parking lots...
With well-planned strategies and serious, systematic, and effective implementation, Sam Son City will be a safe, civilized, and friendly destination for tourists this summer.
