Bringing products closer to consumers.
Currently, Da Nang boasts over 550 recognized OCOP products, creating a diverse range of local produce. According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, during the 2021-2025 period, the promotion and trade facilitation of OCOP products will be regularly organized, creating a bridge between producers and consumers. As a result, numerous OCOP products from Da Nang have successfully entered major supermarket and distribution center systems such as Go!, Co.opMart, WinMart, etc.
These products are not only available through traditional sales channels, but also on reputable e-commerce platforms such as Lazada, Postmart, and Shopee, keeping pace with the booming online shopping trend.
In particular, leveraging its tourism potential, the city has established a network of OCOP (One Commune One Product) sales points at tourist attractions such as Hoi An Ancient Town, Han Market, Con Market, Ba Na Hills tourist area, and Da Nang Airport… These sales points not only serve as outlets for products but also act as "ambassadors" promoting Da Nang's culture and cuisine to international friends.
Statistics show that, on average, each OCOP (One Commune One Product) entity receives support to participate in trade promotion programs 2-3 times per year. In addition, capacity building for these entities is also emphasized. City departments and agencies organize numerous in-depth training courses on marketing skills, brand management, online sales, etc., helping farmers and cooperatives become more confident in marketing their products and bringing them closer to modern consumers.
Not limited to the domestic market, Da Nang's OCOP (One Commune One Product) initiative is also demonstrated through overseas trips. The city organizes numerous trade and promotion delegations to introduce OCOP products to potential markets such as Japan, South Korea, China, Thailand, and Laos, opening up export opportunities and affirming the quality of Vietnamese agricultural products on the international stage.

Flexible advertising methods
In recent times, Da Nang's trade promotion activities have continued to make their mark with a series of large-scale events. The Department of Industry and Trade has successfully organized many major fairs and exhibitions such as: the Da Nang Spring Fair, the Vietnamese Goods Fair - Honoring OCOP Products, the East-West Economic Corridor International Trade, Tourism and Investment Fair… These events have attracted tens of thousands of visitors and shoppers, creating a boost in purchasing power in the market.
A notable point over the past year has been the significant shift in customer approach. The city's industry and trade sector has flexibly applied digital technology, organizing numerous livestream programs to promote OCOP products. With hundreds of thousands of online views, this format has created a strong ripple effect, helping OCOP products and Vietnamese goods reach younger customers and tech-savvy consumers.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in the coming period, many policies will continue to be implemented to support businesses in their trade promotion and marketing activities. The strategy for the 2026-2030 period will focus on closely integrating trade promotion with investment promotion, culture, and tourism. In particular, it will emphasize the effective use of traditional methods while simultaneously innovating and diversifying promotional forms through the increased application of information technology and digital transformation.
According to the plan, the city will organize an exhibition of typical and representative products of Da Nang. This is a golden opportunity to introduce strong products to consumers and partners, promote trade connections and spread the "Made in Da Nang" brand.
Furthermore, given the strong growth in both the quantity and quality of OCOP products, the Department of Industry and Trade is researching and advising the city on the formation of large-scale, centralized centers and points for displaying and selling OCOP products. This model is expected to increase the effectiveness of commercialization, creating a reliable and professional shopping destination for residents and tourists.
According to Ms. Vu Thi Bich Hau, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, in the period 2026-2030, the city will focus on developing OCOP products in a more in-depth manner. The products must ensure quality, possess distinctive characteristics, have multiple values, and be environmentally friendly. This process will be closely linked to promoting the application of technology in processing, maximizing the potential, advantages, and cultural values of the locality to build brands and expand markets.

In this context, the development of OCOP products will be closely linked to the advantages and strengths of each locality, especially local raw materials, culture, and indigenous knowledge. The city will focus on building stable local raw material areas according to planning and standards; and at the same time standardize production and processing procedures. In addition, it will strengthen the improvement of product quality in an environmentally friendly, green, and sustainable direction.
According to the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, promoting trade and building and developing brands for OCOP products in both domestic and international markets is a key task. In particular, the city will leverage its strengths as a tourist city, linking the promotion and trade of OCOP products with tourism activities. Simultaneously, it will continue to promote e-commerce in the consumption of OCOP products and implement specific support solutions for potential OCOP products to facilitate export and expand the reach of the Da Nang OCOP brand.
