The village of Bàu is unusually peaceful in the late autumn days. The moss-covered stone steps leading to Mr. Lê Trường Thuy's house bear the marks of time, shaped by the dedicated care of this farmer for over 40 years.
Having dedicated his life to his 3,500m² garden filled with various fruit trees such as rambutan, betel nut, pomelo, and agarwood, Mr. Thuy's passion has borne fruit. Now, with Xóm Bàu included on the tourism map of Tiên Phước, the stone embankments that Mr. Thuy once built to protect his land and garden have gained even more value for tourism.
Mr. Thuy said: "Since Loc Yen ancient village became more well-known to tourists, Bau Hamlet has become more bustling than before. The people of Bau Hamlet have learned how to improve their gardens and landscapes, meticulously tending to each stone path, trimming tea hedges, and planting fruit trees in their gardens... to work together to build an increasingly effective tourist village."
Tien Canh, with its ancient village of Loc Yen and scattered other locations, boasts over 20 ancient houses, some over 100 years old, featuring unique and exquisite architectural details. Connected to Loc Yen are the Huynh Thuc Khang Memorial House historical site and other scenic spots such as Lo Thung - Da Giang, Deo Lieu waterfall, and Da Vach reservoir... all blending together to create a peaceful and captivating destination.
According to Le Truong Hien, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tien Canh commune, the commune has developed a plan for the development of ecotourism in Tien Canh commune, with a focus on the ancient village of Loc Yen.
Successful tourism development comes from each individual and each household in Loc Yen, working together with support from the State to create a unique Loc Yen tourist village. Tien Canh is focusing on developing tourism in the direction of rural ecological tourism, scenic spots, and historical sites, with community-based tourism as the central focus.
"We have organized many activities to improve the quality of Bài Chòi clubs, call-and-response singing, Hò Khoan singing, and other folk cultural products to introduce and serve tourists."
"Economical products from the villagers' gardens, such as pepper, rambutan, pomelo, agarwood, and local culinary dishes reflecting the unique character of Tien Canh village, are being used as tourism products for visitors to admire, explore, and buy as souvenirs. Tien Canh calls on tourism and travel businesses to participate and support the commune in doing better in the future," Mr. Hien said.
