Supporting members
The Women's Union of Suoi Dau commune currently has 1,708 members, organized into 8 branches. To support members in difficult circumstances, especially those from ethnic minority groups, the union has allocated operating funds to provide livelihood support tailored to the actual needs of each individual. Each year, the union provides approximately 15 livelihood support packages, each worth between 300,000 VND and 2,000,000 VND. These packages include: chicken breeds, equipment for selling food, and small-scale trading, helping members to improve their business opportunities. Among the members receiving support is Ms. Cao Thi Kim Kieu (a Raglai woman from Suoi Lau 3 village). Ms. Kieu runs a small grocery store at home, and her husband works as a laborer, resulting in unstable income. The couple is still repaying an 80 million VND loan for mango cultivation, while the mango orchard has not yet yielded a harvest. To help her family make ends meet, in December 2025, the union provided her with 2,000,000 VND in livelihood support. "Thanks to the financial support from the association, I was able to buy some more items to sell, earning extra income to support my children," Ms. Kieu shared.

In addition, the association actively supports its members in obtaining loans to develop their businesses . The association currently manages loans for 749 households with a total outstanding balance of over 45.8 billion VND from various banks; it also encourages members to participate in savings programs totaling over 3.2 billion VND. Thanks to these loans, many women have been able to invest in developing their family businesses, such as Ms. Trinh Thi Thanh Hai (Cay Xoai village). After working as a factory worker, in 2018, Ms. Hai saved enough money to buy 2 hectares of land already planted with 100 mango trees. Because the capital had already been used for the land purchase, she hadn't been able to invest further. With the association's support, she received a 50 million VND loan, which she used to buy 400 saplings and fertilizer to develop her mango orchard. She also participated in training courses on mango cultivation techniques organized by the association and learned from other members of the association and local people. Ms. Hai said that after three years of caring for her 500 mango trees, she earned a profit of 200 million VND in the first harvest. She continued to invest in caring for the mango orchard and expanding her business, earning between 200 and 300 million VND annually after deducting expenses. With the capital accumulated from each mango season, by 2025 she had built a spacious and well-equipped new house.
Strengthen propaganda and training to improve knowledge.
Over the past period, the Women's Union of Suoi Dau commune has coordinated with various units to organize training courses on rice and mango cultivation techniques; the branches have integrated the dissemination of information on digital transformation, new rural development, building happy families, and legal regulations... Through this, women have accumulated experience and improved their knowledge and understanding in various fields.

As the implementation site of Project 8, "Implementing Gender Equality and Addressing Urgent Issues for Women and Children," under the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021-2030, the Women's Association of Suoi Lau 3 village has mobilized its members to fully participate in training courses and awareness campaigns organized by the association. According to Ms. Cao Thi Ngạnh, Head of the Women's Association of Suoi Lau 3 village, after receiving information on preventing child marriage, consanguineous marriage, domestic violence, and promoting gender equality, the awareness of the women has significantly improved. The association also integrates these issues into its meetings and extends the message to men. As a result, there have been no cases of child marriage, consanguineous marriage, or domestic violence in the village.
Ms. Le Thi Minh Tam, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Suoi Dau commune and Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Suoi Dau commune, said that in the coming time, the union will continue to promote activities to help members develop their economy. Specifically, the union will focus on implementing a piggy bank fundraising model to provide livelihoods; supporting members with loans; organizing training courses on farming skills and applying science and technology to production. At the same time, it will strengthen propaganda and guidance for women to access digital transformation in production, business, and life.
