| Electricity company employees install wiring after the meter for residents. |
In the early morning mist of the days leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year), despite the cold weather, drizzle, and difficult roads, the workers of the Ba Be Area Power Management Team still traveled more than 10km to Coc Dien village, Phuc Loc commune, to install power lines and electrical equipment for the people. The moment the power was switched on, the house of Mr. Phung Von Phin's family lit up.
With emotion, Mr. Phin shared: "From now on, my family won't have to use oil lamps or bring batteries down to the commune center to charge anymore. With electricity, I plan to buy a banana and grass slicing machine for livestock farming and economic development."
Previously, the lives of the people here depended on oil lamps, batteries, or small generators. Each prolonged rainy season made life even more difficult; children studied in deprived conditions, and agricultural processing was limited. Therefore, when the national power grid was extended to the village just before the New Year, joy shone brightly on their faces.
Mr. Phung Toan Pham, from the same village, said that in the past, every time they milled rice, they had to transport it to the commune center, and it was very difficult when it rained and the ground was slippery. Now that they have electricity, he plans to buy a rice milling machine to serve his family and other villagers. Life will definitely be much more convenient.

| Electricity workers installed electrical panels inside houses and instructed residents on safe electricity usage. |
The concrete roads leading into the villages seemed to brighten under the newly switched-on streetlights. Inside each house, the lights shone brightly, and the sound of televisions filled the air, creating an early spring atmosphere and warming even the homes in the highlands.
People are delighted because preparing for Tet this year is much easier: wrapping cakes and processing food no longer requires worrying about insufficient light, and they no longer have to constantly monitor the power supply using mini generators like before.
According to Mr. Trieu Duc Tung, Deputy Head of the Ba Be Area Power Management Team, the unit has coordinated with local authorities, increased manpower, and accelerated construction progress to bring electricity to the village before Tet (Lunar New Year). To date, over 97% of households in the area have access to the national power grid. Several groups of households in remote areas with complex terrain are being included in the investment plan for the near future.
In the days leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year), electricity company officials are still busy completing low-voltage power lines, installing meters and electrical panels, and assisting people with wiring and installing equipment in their homes.
Along with the power connection, emphasis was also placed on promoting safe and economical electricity use, helping people learn how to install electricity correctly according to standards, prevent fires and explosions, and protect the power grid corridor so that the light would last longer and be safer in every family.
Electricity reaching the villages not only illuminates every home but also opens up opportunities for accessing information, developing production, and improving the lives of people in the highlands. In the atmosphere of welcoming the Lunar New Year, this joy becomes even more meaningful, giving people more motivation to confidently step into the new year with many hopes.
