The National Center for Film and Audiovisual Culture in Taiwan, China, posted a notice expressing deep sorrow over her passing. On social media, many colleagues and fans offered their condolences to the family of the veteran actress.
Born in 1945, Jiang Qingxia nurtured a passion for the stage from a young age. In her youth, she toured extensively with musician Xu Shi, performing in many places, and also gained acting experience while participating in the army's performing arts troupe.
In 1966, through the introduction of senior figures in the industry, she entered the Taiwanese film scene and passed a public audition to play the lead female role in director Shao Luohui's film, "The Blind Swordswoman ." This work quickly propelled her to prominence as a rising star.

In nearly 60 years of artistic activity, Jiang Qingxia has appeared in more than 100 film and television works, demonstrating her versatility in various genres. When she switched to acting in Mandarin, she used a voice recorder to teach herself and practice her lines, constantly listening and editing to overcome the language barrier.
