In a Bloomberg Power On report, analyst Mark Gurman stated that Apple's WWDC 2026 invitation actually revealed a glimpse of a new Siri interface. Based on rumors, Siri in iOS 27 will be improved with a range of new features and interaction methods.
"The WWDC 2026 teaser reveals the highlight of the event: a new version of Siri on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, designed for the AI era. The new assistant includes previously announced features, along with some additional improvements," Gurman shared.
The hidden meaning in Apple's invitation.
According to a Bloomberg writer, the Siri upgrade will include a chatbot-like interface, design improvements, and a standalone Siri app.
The new Siri will be able to handle multiple complex commands from a single query, supporting third-party agent platforms. The platform can also retrieve personal data and read on-screen content to execute queries accurately.
Siri's new look is highlighted in the invitation. One of the interfaces being tested will utilize Dynamic Island. When Siri is activated, the notch will expand with a glowing effect similar to the number "26" in the event invitation.

This light strip uses Siri's signature colors. Besides promotional materials for WWDC 2026, the new effect is also quite noticeable in a video posted by Marketing Director Greg Joswiak on the social media platform X.
"The most noticeable new effects are in iOS 27's dark mode, which is why this year's WWDC invitation has a dark background. Of course, the interface may still change until June, though not significantly, as the company has been quietly promoting this look," Gurman emphasized.
Siri and AI were considered the focus at WWDC 2026. However, Apple remained focused on optimizing the performance of iOS and macOS 27. According to Gurman, these included fixing system bugs, increasing speed, and improving battery life, in addition to features aimed at business, education , and emerging markets.
The clue that's giving users a headache.
Of course, this isn't the first time Apple has hinted at new features and hardware in its event invitations. In some instances, the products have been shown very clearly.
For example, the invitation to the March 2012 event included a new iPad with a high-resolution Retina display. The invitation to the late 2010 event featured an image of a lion, alluding to the Mac OS X Lion operating system, with a silver background similar to the MacBook's trackpad.
"Lately, Apple hasn't been revealing too many clear details. However, their invitations almost always reveal an important product or feature, even if it's not entirely clear until the actual event takes place," Gurman said.

The October 2020 event invitation read "Hi, Speed," alluding to 5G network technology on the iPhone. By October 2021, the event invitation was titled "Unleashed," signaling that the company's M1 chip would truly unleash its full power.
The September 2022 event, titled "Far Out," refers to the satellite connectivity feature for emergency calls on the iPhone 14. Meanwhile, the message "It's Glowtime" for the September 2024 event hints at the Apple Intelligence suite and new Siri effects.
At the WWDC developer conference, Apple's invitation also held many interesting details, though these can only be fully understood when the product is actually launched.
For example, the WWDC 2024 invitation featured a glowing band around the letters. At the time, this was a completely new visual effect, later appearing on iOS 18 when Siri was activated. The Apple Intelligence platform also became a focal point of the event.
The WWDC 2025 logo alludes to the Liquid Glass effect in iOS 26, a feature that became the centerpiece of last year's conference.
