ANTD.VN - Recently, in Thai Binh, Vinamilk Joint Stock Company, in collaboration with the Thai Binh Provincial Women's Union, organized a workshop on "Complete Nutrition for Mothers and Babies" for over 300 women in Thai Binh province. This activity is part of Vinamilk's program to integrate nutrition to improve community health care.

At the workshop, women from Thai Binh province enjoyed interesting cultural performances, participated in beneficial exchange programs, and received expert advice to improve their knowledge of nutritional care for women raising young children, with the theme "Complete Nutrition for Mother and Baby".

The workshop provided a wealth of useful information for mothers, aiming to ensure children receive the best possible care in their early years – the foundation for the health and sustainable development of the community.

Phó Giáo sư, Tiến sĩ, Bác sỹ Nguyễn Quang Dũng chia sẻ tại hội thảo
Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Quang Dung shared his insights at the conference.

Speaking at the workshop, Associate Professor, Doctor Nguyen Quang Dung, head of the Department of Nutrition and Food Safety from Hanoi Medical University, emphasized the important role of nutrition in the health and development of mothers and young children.

Associate Professor Nguyen Quang Dung affirmed that nutrition for breastfeeding mothers is a key factor in providing sufficient nutrients for children through breast milk. Mothers need to maintain a diverse diet rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals, and drink enough water (2 to 2.5 liters per day).

Supplementing with micronutrients such as iron, calcium, and vitamin A is also crucial for maintaining maternal health and ensuring the quality of breast milk. Specifically, mothers should consume an additional 500-675 kcal/day, depending on their weight gain during pregnancy, to maintain the necessary energy for breastfeeding.
