In early September, streamer Độ Mixi was caught using illegal substances at a bar in Hanoi . The incident sparked a wave of criticism and boycotts against the popular internet personality. Prior to the incident, Phùng Thanh Độ (aka Độ Mixi) had 8 million followers on YouTube and controlled a highly active Facebook group with millions of members.

Following the scandal, this individual took a two-week break from broadcasting before returning to work at 10 PM daily on his YouTube channel. Since mid-year, the streamer and his team, Refund Gaming, have returned to playing games on Google's platform after their contract with Nimo TV ended. Focusing on YouTube should have helped the channel grow and develop. However, with recent controversies, the account has shown signs of decline.

According to the analytics platform Viewstats, MixiGaming currently has 8.2 million followers. This number hasn't increased since September. In the last 12 months, the account gained approximately 420,000 subscribers. Compared to the same period last year, the streamer's subscriber count has decreased by more than 170,000, or 26%.

The situation is similar with channel views. Độ Mixi lost approximately 71.5 million views, equivalent to a 15% decrease. This also directly impacts advertising revenue.

Simultaneous live viewership is a crucial metric for streamers. On the MixiGaming channel, the number has also decreased since the scandal involving the male streamer using banned substances. The average audience in the evening is around 40,000-100,000 people, lower than the previous 100,000-200,000.

Previously, Độ Mixi's departure from the Nimo TV platform also caused a stir. The streamer claimed the app was unfairly suppressing him, stopping channel releases before the contract ended. Many overzealous fans also attacked the platform, threatening to delete the app when their idol left.

Since losing Độ Mixi and Refund Gaming, the number of Nimo TV users has dropped sharply. Data shows that both peak concurrent viewers and total usage hours have decreased significantly.
