Nguyen Thi My Trang lost to Choe Hyo-gyong (North Korea) in the bronze medal match of the women's 53kg freestyle wrestling category.
Karate
Dinh Thi Huong defeated Zefanya Ceyco Georgia (Indonesia) to win the bronze medal in the women's 68kg kumite category.

After being eliminated in the round of 16, three Vietnamese athletes moved to the loser's bracket to continue competing for the bronze medal. Tran Thi Anh and Nguyen Thi Xuan both lost. Only Nguyen Thi My Trang remains to compete against Choe Hyo-gyong (North Korea) for the bronze medal in the women's 53kg category.
Karate
Nguyen Thi Phuong lost to Lau Mo Sheung Grace of Hong Kong (China) in the bronze medal match of the individual kata event. The Vietnamese female martial artist scored 40.6 points, while her opponent received 43.4 points.
Today, only Dinh Thi Huong from the Vietnamese karate team has a chance to compete for a bronze medal.
Ju-jitsu bronze medal
Phùng Thị Huệ defeated her Thai opponent to win the bronze medal in the women's 48kg weight category. The Vietnamese athlete tied with her opponent on points but won by a one-point advantage.

Karate
Dinh Thi Huong defeated Naser Nourallah (Jordan) in the round of 16 elimination match in the 68kg weight class. In the quarterfinals, the Vietnamese fighter lost to Alikul Laura (Kazakhstan). However, she advanced directly to the bronze medal match.
Ju-jitsu: Phung Thi Hue competes for bronze medal.
Phùng Thị Huệ lost to Tan Pechrada Kacie (Thailand) in the quarterfinals of the women's 48kg category. In the bracket for athletes eliminated in the quarterfinals, the Vietnamese fighter defeated Rakhayeva Nazgul (Kazakhstan) and will face Sugun Nutchaya in the bronze medal match.
Archery
This morning, the Vietnamese archery team continued their competition in the quarterfinals of the 3-string bow event. Facing a world- class opponent in South Korea, the Vietnamese archers were unable to pull off an upset. Nguyen Thi Hai Chau, Le Pham Ngoc Anh, and Voong Phuong Thao lost 211-236 and were eliminated.
Ju-jitsu
Can Van Thang defeated the Indian athlete in the round of 16 of the men's 62kg weight category, but then lost to Khalid Al Blooshi (UAE) in the round of 8.
In the women's 48kg weight class, Phùng Thị Huệ defeated Teh May Yong (Singapore) in the round of 16.
Cloud bridge
The Vietnamese team won 2-0 against India in their first match in the women's regu event.
While not a primary event for Vietnam in the pursuit of a gold medal in sepak takraw at the 19th Asian Games, the athletes still have a chance to compete for a medal.
Karate
Nguyen Thi Phuong scored 39 points in round 2, ranking third in group 1 and qualifying for the final. However, with a score lower than 40, it will be difficult for the Vietnamese athlete to compete for a medal.

Nguyen Thi My Trang lost to Pang Qianyu (China). Tran Thi Anh lost to Jong In-sun (North Korea). Nguyen Thi Xuan lost to Kim Son-hyang (North Korea). All three Vietnamese athletes were eliminated from the gold and silver medal bracket.
Karate
Nguyen Thi Phuong scored 38.9 points in Round 1, topping Group 2 and advancing to Round 2. Considering both groups from Round 1, the Vietnamese athlete ranked 5th.

The Vietnamese team lost to Malaysia in the men's regu event. After winning the first set 21-17, the Vietnamese team lost the next two sets 9-21 and 11-21.
Karate
Pham Minh Duc advanced through the first round with 40 points. However, in the second round, the Vietnamese athlete only scored 39.6 points and was eliminated.
Karate
Vietnamese athletes began competing in two kata events. Pham Minh Duc registered for the Chatanyara Kushanku kata. After the men's events, the women's events will begin.
Karate is one of the sports in which the Vietnamese sports delegation hopes to win a gold medal at the 19th Asian Games. As of October 4th, the Vietnamese delegation has achieved its target with 2 gold medals (shooting and sepak takraw).
