Unique homestay Huong Hoi Que

Việt NamViệt Nam20/12/2024

Homestay is a special type of accommodation that is no longer strange in Binh Lieu. Most of the homestays in Binh Lieu are guided to develop in a way that allows tourists to eat, rest, live and experience like a real local. Located in a convenient location in Khe Tien village (Dong Van commune), Huong Hoi Que homestay has just been completed and put into use, creating an additional highlight of accommodation imbued with the cultural colors of the Dao ethnic group for tourists when coming to Binh Lieu.

Huong Hoi Que Homestay blends in with the vast, fresh nature of the highlands.

With the desire to preserve and maintain the rammed earth houses left by their ancestors for future generations, turning traditional houses into homestays for tourists to stay, since 2023, Mr. Duong Phuc Thim's family (Khe Tien village, Dong Van commune) has started building 2 homestays in the style of Dao people's rammed earth houses using new technology. Accordingly, Mr. Thim has focused on renovating house construction materials to retain the advantages of the old house-building method, while increasing durability and better weather resistance, meeting the modern accommodation requirements of tourists, especially international visitors when coming to Binh Lieu.

The opening of Huong Hoi Que Homestay has marked the beginning of modern and professional tourism development in Dong Van Commune - the most remote area of Binh Lieu District. At the same time, it encourages local people to boldly build rammed earth homestays to turn Khe Tien Village into a typical Dao tourist village with at least 30 homestays in the coming years.

The 2 Huong Hoi Que homestays conquer visitors with their unique design, in harmony with nature, with spacious rooms that can accommodate up to 10 people, fully equipped with amenities, and a private bathroom system that ensures accommodation standards of 3 stars or higher. The rooms are all designed with large windows, allowing natural light into the room and allowing visitors to fully enjoy the village scenery. Along with the indigenous cultural features in each room, the homestay campus also has many interesting features such as: A rustic wooden table for chatting, a thatched umbrella to shade the sun, a lush green vegetable garden next to the porch... all creating a simple, familiar feature like the lifestyle of the people here.

Homestay is still continuing to complete the campus area.

Leaving behind the hustle and bustle of urban life, immersing yourself in nature, freely exploring the landscape, space, enjoying dishes with the rich flavor of the mountains and forests is the feeling of most visitors when coming to Huong Hoi Que homestay. In particular, with a prime location, leaning against the mountain, facing the terraced fields, surrounded by cool green trees, in the distance is Khe Tien waterfall with murmuring water like a love song of the mountains and forests, embellishing the homestay space more peaceful, bringing a feeling of peace and relaxation that seems to hold the footsteps of visitors when coming here once.

Mr. Duong Phuc Thim, owner of Huong Hoi Que homestay, shared: Tourists come to Binh Lieu because they love the cultural beauty of the people here. Therefore, I want my homestay to have a mark, truly like a cozy traditional house of the Dao people, creating a space for tourists to experience the local culture. Tourists will experience many unique cultural and tourism activities such as watching ethnic cultural performances, enjoying traditional dishes of the Thanh Phan Dao people, trekking through the forest in Dong Van and visiting and learning about the lives of the people in the village... This is also my dedicated effort to join hands with the locality to preserve ancient houses, build cultural villages of the Tay, Dao, and San Chi people to serve tourism development.

Rooms at Huong Hoi Que homestay are modernly designed and fully equipped.

Not only Huong Hoi Que homestay, in 2024, Binh Lieu has had a number of outstanding homestays in operation such as: Hai Thai Homestay (Cao Son village, Hoanh Mo commune); Hoa Binh Lieu Cooperative upgraded its accommodation facilities with 9 family houses... Up to now ,   The district currently has 40 accommodation establishments (3 hotels, 24 motels, 13 homestays), with a capacity of serving about 1,200 people, increasingly meeting the entertainment and relaxation needs of tourists when coming to Binh Lieu.

The diversity of accommodation types, especially the formation and development of homestays with unique indigenous cultural colors, has contributed to creating unique community tourism models, demonstrating the efforts and enthusiasm of the people themselves in joining hands with the locality to do better in preserving and promoting the natural beauty, culture and people of Binh Lieu, contributing significantly to increasing the competitiveness and attractiveness of local tourism.
