Playing with ducks – a seemingly simple story for anyone in rural Vietnam – is actually attracting many international tourists. Rural tourism offers visitors many surprises, allowing them to spend a bright day surrounded by nature and find peace in their current lives.

Following the signal, hundreds of ducks swarmed in, and the tourists became the leaders of the flock. With handfuls of food, they scattered it on the ground, and immediately hundreds of ducks surrounded them. The tourists became the commanders, leading a noisy but incredibly adorable army. This lively scene took place at a small farm in Bong Lai village, Bo Trach commune, Quang Tri province.

This simple fun has a special appeal; visitors can hug, touch, grasp, and interact with the ducks in unexpected ways, and many visitors share that they have been able to connect with nature, the land, and the animals.

Under guidance, many foreign tourists boldly climb onto the backs of buffaloes and leisurely ride along the riverside village roads of Quang Tri province.

From mountain villages to riverside orchards, tours taking visitors to terraced rice paddies, traditional craft villages, fruit orchards, or community homestays have become commonplace. Rural tourism is also gradually changing community awareness; people are paying more attention to the landscape and environmental hygiene, and as a result, many places have become desirable places to live in the countryside.
