Hai Chau Village communal house (Da Nang City) is a place that preserves unique cultural features reflecting the formation, struggles, construction, and development of Da Nang over the past 500 years.
With its rich history and cultural values, Hai Chau village communal house has become one of Da Nang's distinctive cultural relics, recognized as a national historical and cultural relic in 2001.
In 2025, the Hai Chau Village Temple Festival will take place from April 3rd to 4th (corresponding to the 6th and 7th days of the 3rd lunar month).
The most important part is the main ceremony, which takes place on the morning of April 4th, with the participation of a large number of local people, tourists, and authorities in Da Nang City. The ceremony expresses respect and remembrance for the ancestors who contributed to the settlement and establishment of the land.

The festival also aims to affirm the long-standing cultural activities that are important in the spiritual life of the people. This helps preserve and transmit culture between generations, contributing to the promotion of tourism in the city.
Within the framework of the festival, unique cultural and sporting activities such as folk painting, tug-of-war, a competition for displaying trays of five-fruit cakes, and a traditional ao dai fashion show... create a lively and vibrant atmosphere.
Mr. Truong Thanh Dung, permanent vice chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Chau district (Da Nang city), expressed his heartfelt respect for the ancestors who pioneered the land and established the village.
"Throughout the ups and downs of history, the Hai Chau village communal house festival has been preserved and promoted, becoming an indispensable cultural feature in the spiritual life of the people."

"More than just a ritual, this is also a vivid lesson in the principle of remembering one's roots, helping present and future generations always remember the contributions of their ancestors in the journey of establishing and protecting their homeland," Mr. Dung said.
For the locals, Hai Chau village communal house is considered the living museum heart of Da Nang city. It is known that Hai Chau village communal house was built in the 5th year of Gia Long's reign, which is 1806, to worship the village's tutelary deity and the ancestors of 42 clans from Tinh Gia district, Thanh Hoa province, who followed King Le Thanh Tong south to cultivate the land in 1471.
