The talk attracted the participation of many officials, civil servants, students and book lovers in Ha Tinh city. In an intimate and open space, Mr. Nguyen Canh Binh shared profound, practical and inspiring perspectives revolving around the big question: How to maintain and develop a reading culture in the context of strong digital technology development like today?
Mr. Binh said: We are living in an era where information comes faster than ever, but it also easily distracts and tires people. Reading is still an effective way to practice concentration, deep thinking and intellectual qualities. Whether reading paper books or e-books, the important thing is to maintain the habit of reading every day.
The speaker also emphasized the role of education and family in fostering a love of books in the young generation, especially when social networks and entertainment content increasingly take up more and more of users’ time, especially young people. Reading culture cannot exist without a nurturing environment. We must proactively create reading spaces, both physical and spiritual, so that books still have a place in modern life.
Students interact with the speaker
Many students asked questions to the speaker, expressing their deep interest in reading, choosing books, and developing themselves through reading habits. Many teachers and parents also shared their concerns about how to keep their children from straying from books amid the endless temptations of technology.
The talk not only provided more knowledge, but also opened up many thoughts for the attendees about how to behave with books and information in the digital age.
