LCP is a tournament that brings together the strongest regions in the Asia-Pacific, but excludes China and South Korea. Here, Vietnamese representatives compete against representatives from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia. After a disappointing first year where only Team Secret Whales reached the World Finals, and three consecutive seasons seeing CFO, a representative from Taiwan, crowned champions.

In its second season, all eight LCP teams underwent significant personnel changes. TSW, however, maintained its core of five official members, replacing Taki with Bie. The team also added Taiwanese coach Warhorse, who has years of experience leading major teams to the world finals.

TSW's youthful energy represents the hope of the Vietnamese region, especially as both GAM and MVK have performed poorly. SofM's MVK, in particular, has been lackluster, failing to qualify for the play-offs – the worst performance a Vietnamese team has ever achieved since the LCP began. GAM, after losing Levi, struggled with new members and were eliminated in the first round after losing to SHG from Japan.

Team Secret Whales, in particular, shone brightly throughout their first season. They topped their group and quickly overcame their Taiwanese opponents to win the championship without much difficulty. Their high performance across all five positions allowed TSW to dominate most of their rivals.

Key players like Hizto, Dire, and Eddie showcased their high skill. Meanwhile, Bie led the team with champions that initiated fights. The top lane, held by Pun, was no longer a weakness for TSW as he expanded his champion pool, readily picking damage-oriented choices.

With their victory in Round 1 of LCP 2026, TSW will represent the region at the First Stand next month in Brazil. This marks the first time a Vietnamese team has reached this tournament. TSW's win is a great joy for Vietnamese League of Legends fans after a disappointing year. However, only TSW managed to satisfy domestic audiences. Meanwhile, GAM and MVK still have many issues to resolve before Round 2 begins.
