Community-based tourism in Yen Thang commune - A new highlight in the tourism landscape of Lang Chanh district.
Previously, when mentioning tourism in Lang Chanh, visitors often thought of the Nang Cat - Ma Hao Waterfall community eco-tourism area, or the Meo Pagoda, Hon Loi Waterfall... but now there are many new and attractive options, such as Ngay village (Lam Phu commune), Ngam Poc village, Peo village (Yen Thang commune)... Among them, for those who love the beauty of the mountainous region, enjoy photography, exploring , and experiencing the life of the Thai ethnic minority, Peo village in Yen Thang commune is a fresh and attractive choice. The special feature that tourists love about community tourism in Yen Thang commune is the pristine natural landscape, the fresh climate, and the terraced rice fields considered the most beautiful in the district. Here, visitors can also participate in border markets, meeting residents of the Phon Xay cluster of villages in Sam To district, Laos, and people in the border areas of Lang Chanh district.
Along with promoting the development and renewal of tourism products, Lang Chanh district is focusing on building and promoting its image and positioning its tourism brand. Accordingly, to create a highlight for each tourist area and destination, the district has been gradually investing in building check-in areas associated with the destination's name. In addition, tourism activities are being linked with traditional festivals and unique cultural events to create appeal and a distinct identity for each destination. The most prominent examples currently include the Nang Cat - Thac Ma Hao Community Ecotourism Area associated with the Chi Linh Son Festival; and community tourism in Yen Thang commune associated with the Muong Deng Festival...
In addition, the district has 79 performing arts groups that regularly practice and exchange ideas, creating a unique cultural space for tourists to immerse themselves in and experience the lives of the local people.
Sharing his vision for future tourism development, Chairman of the Lang Chanh District People's Committee, Hoang Van Thanh, stated: In recent years, the district has focused on mobilizing capital and integrating resources to develop tourism. Specifically, the district budget is used to prioritize tourism development, focusing on key areas to stimulate growth. Initially, priority is given to investing in infrastructure development, constructing tourist attractions to create focal points for visitors, and improving the environmental landscape and public facilities at the district's tourist destinations. In addition, the district is implementing comprehensive solutions for tourism promotion and marketing; developing tourism human resources; and supporting the community and local people in developing tourism products. Through these efforts, the district aims to gradually attract investment and promote Lang Chanh tourism, making it one of the province's most attractive tourist destinations.
Although tourism development in Lang Chanh district still faces many difficulties, the district identifies it as one of its key tasks to improve and enhance the quality of life for its people, contributing to the effective achievement of the local socio -economic development goals.
In the coming period, the district will continue to prioritize encouraging businesses to invest in accommodation facilities, restaurants, organic agricultural farms, and large-scale, high-quality commercial and service centers. Simultaneously, it will focus on developing new tourism products and improving the quality of existing ones. Particular attention will be paid to attracting investment in the development of community-based ecotourism and resort tourism products to meet the needs of tourists and the evolving tourism trends.
