In recent years, Quang Ninh's education sector has intensified the implementation of STEM education, coupled with investment in modern facilities, most notably standardized STEM classrooms. This represents not only an investment in equipment but also a significant shift in innovative teaching methods.

In many schools throughout the province, STEM labs have been built with areas ranging from 80 to 120 square meters, equipped with modern equipment such as robots, the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), smart sensors, and programming tools. The open and flexible learning environment allows students to learn in groups, practice, and create right in the classroom.

The introduction of STEM classrooms has contributed to a change in the approach to teaching, shifting from knowledge transmission to organizing experiential and practical activities. Students not only absorb theory but also directly design and manufacture products and solve practical problems.

The implementation of STEM classrooms is identified as a crucial step in realizing the goal of "learning by doing" and developing comprehensive competencies for students in the context of current educational reforms.

Inspiring creativity and developing skills in students.

Beyond creating a modern learning environment, STEM classrooms also contribute to fostering a passion for science and creativity in students. When exposed to new technologies, students become more interested, proactive in exploring, researching, and experimenting.

In fact, schools like Trong Diem Junior High School (Ha Long Ward), Cam Pha High School (Cam Pha Ward), and Uong Bi High School (Uong Bi Ward) have shown that since the establishment of STEM rooms, practical activities and scientific research have become more vibrant. Students can design robots and build engineering models, thereby developing logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

These practical experiences have helped students develop a greater love for science subjects, while also affirming the effectiveness of investing in facilities combined with innovative teaching methods in the school.

In addition, the teaching staff is gradually adapting to new teaching methods. Teachers are proactively improving their professional skills, actively organizing experiential activities, and guiding students in researching and creating STEM products.

Modern learning spaces combined with advanced educational methods have created a positive learning environment, helping students develop knowledge, skills, and character. This contributes to the formation of a high-quality workforce, meeting the demands of development in the digital transformation era.

Besides the achievements, maximizing the effectiveness of STEM classrooms also requires continued investment in human resources and organizational methods. Schools need to strengthen teacher training in STEM teaching skills, develop learning themes linked to local realities, and thereby help students apply their knowledge to solve real-life problems.

At the same time, the connection between schools and businesses and scientific research institutions needs to be strengthened to expand the learning space and create conditions for students to access a modern technological environment. This will be an important prerequisite for improving the effectiveness of STEM education and meeting the requirements for developing high-quality human resources in the new era.

In reality, the implementation of modern STEM classrooms in Quang Ninh not only involves investing in facilities but also contributes to changing students' perceptions of learning.
