Identifying agricultural production as the main economic development direction, the commune has focused on mobilizing people to change the structure of crops and livestock; planning and rearranging crops and livestock according to the strengths of each region, in order to create competitive agricultural products; encouraging people to introduce new crops that can adapt to the climate, have high productivity and quality into production. The locality has also built many production development models, applying science and technology to cultivation to bring high economic efficiency, reduce investment costs, and help farmers increase their income such as: The model "1 must, 5 reductions" on rice with an area of ​​2,500 hectares, helping farmers increase profits by about 15 million VND/ha. In particular, the large-scale field model was deployed with an area of ​​220 hectares, with a yield of 7 tons/ha, contributing to increasing people's income; the model of clean rice production according to VietGAP standards with an area of ​​15 hectares. In addition, the locality has also implemented a model of growing green-skinned grapefruit and apples on an area of ​​20 hectares. In addition, people have also focused on developing livestock and poultry farming in the direction of farms and ranches, with a herd of over 4,800 livestock and 42,000 poultry... Up to now, the production value of the agricultural and forestry sector has reached 687.9 billion VND, accounting for 62.1%.

Taking advantage of the local potential and advantages, in recent years, with the attention of the province and district, Phuoc Thai commune has attracted investment in many key projects and works, especially renewable energy projects. Up to now, the whole commune has 4 solar power plants with a total capacity of 250MW; 4 rooftop solar power farms combining livestock and crop farming, with a total capacity of 10MW; developing individual and household rooftop solar power systems with a total capacity of 100KW. In addition, the commune also focuses on expanding production and business activities of small-scale industry, mechanical repair, handicraft products, agricultural processing; promoting the development of trade and service activities... Thereby, the production value of the whole small-scale industry and construction sector reached 224.8 billion VND; the value of trade and services reached 194.99 billion VND.

Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, in the past 5 years, the locality has mobilized over 30.58 billion VND to invest in infrastructure construction. Up to now, the whole commune has concreted 100% of inter-village roads; concreted village roads reached 91.6%, intra-field roads reached 73.6%; 100% of households have access to grid electricity and clean water...; 4/7 villages have met the standards of new rural villages, contributing significantly to improving people's lives. Along with that, the fieldsof education and health have been constantly improved; social security policies have been implemented with attention. Up to now, the poverty rate of the commune is only 2.46%.

Coming to Phuoc Thai today, walking on the clean concrete road, spacious houses, we are truly happy with the "change of skin, change of flesh" of the locality.
